The Apera EC20 (SKU AI212) is a Value Series pocket conductivity tester designed for routine EC measurement in professional horticultural and water-treatment environments. It measures electrical conductivity across three auto-ranging sub-scales — 0–200.0 µS/cm, 0–2000 µS/cm, and 0–20.00 mS/cm — plus solution temperature from 0–50.0°C, all displayed simultaneously on a large, 180° viewing-angle LCD. On-screen indicators notify the operator when auto-calibration is complete and when a reading has stabilized, removing guesswork during fast-paced fertigation checks.
The unit is rated IP67 waterproof and dustproof, and it floats — a practical detail in wet grow environments where testers regularly end up near reservoirs and drain trays. At 107 g for the tester alone, it rides easily in a chest pocket or clip onto a clipboard during rounds.

Auto Temperature Compensation (ATC) runs continuously from 0–50°C at ±0.5°C accuracy, so readings taken at different reservoir temperatures are directly comparable without manual correction factors.

The EC20 measures from 0 to 20.00 mS/cm (20,000 µS/cm), auto-ranging across three sub-scales. That ceiling covers even aggressive late-flower nutrient concentrations used in commercial multi-part programs, as well as low-EC RO and source-water baseline readings. One meter handles the full range without reconfiguration.
The AI212 is a dedicated EC meter — it displays conductivity (µS/cm or mS/cm) and temperature simultaneously. It does not have a built-in TDS/ppm conversion mode. For combined EC/TDS/salinity in a single instrument, Apera's Premium Series EC60 (AI314) or PC60 5-in-1 (AI316) are step-up options in the same product family.

Apera warrants the EC20 instrument for 2 years from delivery, covering defects in material and workmanship. The BPB probe is warranted separately for 6 months.
