TrolMaster Temp/ Humidity Station with 0-10V protocol

0-10V analog output station for precise temp or humidity control within the Hydro-X ecosystem.

The TrolMaster TSH-1 is a 0-10V analog output station designed to integrate with the Hydro-X (HCS-1), Hydro-X Pro (HCS-2), and HCS-3 master controllers. Configure it to drive variable-speed fans, motorized vents, or any 0-10VDC climate device — with independent day and night setpoints managed from the HCS controller.

What the TSH-1 Does

The TrolMaster TSH-1 is a dedicated analog expansion station for the Hydro-X environmental control platform. It outputs a variable 0–10 VDC signal to a connected device — a EC fan, a variable-opening damper, a VFD-driven exhaust unit, or any other climate equipment that accepts a standard 0–10V analog input. The station is field-configured to target either temperature or relative humidity, letting it act as a proportional controller that ramps device speed or opening percentage in response to live room conditions.

Unlike a simple on/off relay, the TSH-1 modulates output continuously: as the room drifts away from setpoint, the connected device ramps up proportionally; as conditions recover, it backs down. This reduces overshoot, avoids the temperature and humidity swings that come with bang-bang switching, and keeps VPD tighter across the canopy — which matters in any commercial room where consistency directly impacts yield quality.

Who This Station Is Built For

The TSH-1 fits any commercial cannabis or hemp facility running — or planning to run — TrolMaster's Hydro-X ecosystem. If you have EC fans, variable-speed inline blowers, or motorized dampers that ship with a 0–10V control wire, this station is how you bring those devices under unified HCS controller management instead of running them on standalone speed dials or separate controllers.

It is particularly useful in multi-zone builds where separate rooms share the same HCS master, and in facilities scaling up that want to add variable-speed climate devices without adding separate standalone controllers. If you are managing tight RH windows in a flowering room with commercial dehumidifiers that output a 0–10V control port, the TSH-1 gives you closed-loop, setpoint-driven humidity management integrated directly into your existing Hydro-X dashboard and app.

Key Features for Commercial Operators

Separate day and night idle speed settings are built directly into the TSH-1 unit itself, so device behavior during lights-off or dark periods is distinct from lights-on behavior — no workarounds required. Independent Day/Night setpoints are then programmed through the HCS master controller, giving you full photoperiod-aware climate scheduling from one interface.

The station requires no dedicated power supply — it draws power through the RJ12 data cable connected to the HCS controller. The onboard LCD displays live setpoint, actual measured condition (temperature or humidity), and current device output percentage, so staff can confirm operation at a glance without opening an app. A Micro SD slot (≤32GB card) allows firmware updates in the field as TrolMaster releases improvements. All connections are plug-and-play via standard RJ12 cable and splitter — the station ships with a 16ft RJ12 cable, a 4ft RJ12 cable, and an RJ12 T-splitter included in the box.

How It Fits a Commercial Climate Build

The TSH-1 is an expansion module, not a standalone controller. It only functions when connected to a TrolMaster HCS-1 (Hydro-X), HCS-2 (Hydro-X Pro), or HCS-3 (Hydro-X Plus) master controller. If your facility is already on the Hydro-X platform, adding a TSH-1 is a direct plug-in expansion — no rewiring of the master controller required.

For operators building out rooms with EC-motor fans or commercial HVAC equipment that ships with a 0–10V control input, the TSH-1 closes the loop between the HCS sensor data and those devices without requiring a separate building automation layer. It is worth noting that the TSH-1 outputs a 0-10V signal to fan or damper-type devices; for switching control of stand-alone humidifiers or dehumidifiers, TrolMaster offers separate station models (DSH-2, HS-1) designed for that purpose. Frequently Asked Questions

Does the TSH-1 work as a standalone controller, or do I need an HCS master?

The TSH-1 is an expansion station — it must be connected to a TrolMaster HCS-1, HCS-2, or HCS-3 master controller to operate. It cannot function independently. If you don't yet have an HCS master, contact HSC and we'll spec the right base system for your facility.

Can I use one TSH-1 to control both temperature and humidity devices at the same time?

No. A single TSH-1 is configured to control either a temperature device or a humidity device — not both simultaneously. If you need proportional 0-10V control of both a temp-driven device and a humidity-driven device, you will need two TSH-1 stations.

What types of equipment can the TSH-1 actually drive?

Any device that accepts a standard 0–10 VDC analog input signal: EC-motor fans, variable-speed inline blowers, motorized dampers/vents, VFD-driven exhaust fans, or other climate equipment with a 0-10V control port. For on/off humidifier or dehumidifier control (not 0-10V), TrolMaster's DSH-2 or HS-1 stations are the appropriate units.

Do I need to run a separate power line to the TSH-1?

No. The TSH-1 is bus-powered through the RJ12 data cable connected to the HCS controller. The box includes a 16ft and a 4ft RJ12 cable along with a T-splitter to daisy-chain additional stations on the same bus.

How do I set day vs. night behavior on the TSH-1?

Day and night idle speed settings are configured directly on the TSH-1 unit itself. Separate Day/Night environmental setpoints (e.g., target temperature or target RH for each period) are set through the HCS master controller interface or the TrolMaster app, giving you full photoperiod-aware climate scheduling in one place.
