24/7 live video monitoring purpose-built for licensed cultivation facilities.
The TrolMaster TC-1 Grow Camera is a 3-megapixel surveillance camera engineered specifically for commercial grow environments — delivering low-latency live video, plant-safe IR night vision up to 35 ft, and direct integration with the TrolMaster HCS/TCS control ecosystem.
The TrolMaster TC-1 is a dedicated grow room surveillance camera — not a repurposed consumer security cam. It ships with a 6 mm fixed-focus lens producing 3-megapixel (2048 × 1536) resolution, six invisible IR illuminators for night vision coverage up to 35 ft, and an IP66-rated, water-resistant housing designed to hold up in humid, high-spray cultivation environments. Video is compressed via H.264/HEVC, keeping bandwidth demand manageable while maintaining image quality across live streaming sessions.
Connectivity covers both wired and wireless deployments: one Ethernet port for a hardwired run back to your network switch, plus two 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi antennas for facilities where pulling cable to every room isn't practical. A built-in MicroSD card slot supports up to 64 GB of local recording, giving you on-device footage even when the internet connection drops.
The TC-1 is the right tool for licensed cannabis and hemp operators running TrolMaster's Hydro-X or Aqua-X control systems who want video tied directly into the same platform they use to manage environment. Cultivation directors, compliance officers, and facility managers who need documented visual records of their canopy — day and dark period — will get the most out of this unit.
It's equally relevant for multi-room facilities where a head grower can't physically walk every room on every shift, and for operators who need to satisfy state-level video surveillance requirements as part of their license compliance. The TC-1 doesn't replace a full security VMS, but it puts grow-room-specific visual data inside the TrolMaster ecosystem where your team is already working.
The most operationally critical feature is the plant-safe IR night vision. The six invisible IR illuminators operate at wavelengths that do not disrupt photoperiod-sensitive plant morphology — meaning the camera can actively monitor canopy during the dark cycle without triggering a stress response or interrupting flower initiation. Night vision range reaches 10 meters (approximately 35 ft), sufficient to cover a standard cultivation bay from a corner or ceiling mount.
Motion detection and light pollution detection are both built in, with push notifications delivered through the TM+ / TM+ Pro mobile app. Light pollution detection is particularly valuable in cannabis facilities: any stray light entering the flower room during lights-off gets flagged immediately, letting your team respond before the photoperiod interruption affects the crop. The camera's horizontal pan range is 258° and vertical tilt is 110°, giving broad coverage from a single mount point.
Operating temperature range is 32°–122°F (0°–50°C) with humidity tolerance up to 90% RH — parameters that comfortably cover most controlled-environment agriculture footprints.
The TC-1 is not a standalone device — it requires a TrolMaster HCS or TCS controller to operate. Once linked, the camera appears inside the TM+ / TM+ Pro app alongside your environmental data, so staff monitoring temperature, humidity, CO₂, and lighting schedules from the app can also pull up the live video feed in the same interface. That consolidation matters in facilities where reducing the number of open platforms and logins is a real operational goal.
For operators already running TrolMaster controllers across multiple rooms or buildings, the TC-1 scales with the existing network. Each camera ties to a controller, and each controller is accessible through the app, making centralized remote oversight of multiple cultivation zones achievable without adding separate NVR hardware or a second software subscription. Power input is universal voltage (100–240 V AC), so it drops into any US facility without adapter changes.

The TC-1 requires a TrolMaster HCS or TCS controller to function. The camera links to the controller, which in turn connects to the TM+ / TM+ Pro app. If you are not already running a TrolMaster HCS/TCS system, you will need to add a compatible controller — reach out to us and we can spec the right combination for your facility.
No. The TC-1 uses invisible IR illuminators specifically engineered to emit wavelengths that do not affect plant photoperiod or dark-cycle morphology. This is a key distinction from standard security cameras that use visible red IR LEDs, which can trigger a light-stress response in flowering cannabis.
Yes. The TC-1 includes a built-in MicroSD card slot that supports cards up to 64 GB. With a card installed, the unit continues recording locally even without an active internet connection. Live remote access through the app does require an internet connection.
The TC-1's light pollution detection function monitors for any stray light entering the grow room during the dark period and sends a push notification through the TM+ app. For cannabis operators, any unintended light exposure during lights-off in a flower room can disrupt photoperiod and trigger stress responses — catching and correcting it quickly is critical to protecting yield and crop quality.
Both options are supported. The TC-1 includes one Ethernet port for a wired connection and two 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi antennas for wireless connectivity. For production facilities, a wired connection is generally more reliable; the Wi-Fi option is useful where cable runs aren't practical.
