The 55-gallon drum is the correct format for commercial facilities running continuous multi-room programs. At a weekly drench rate of 1–2 mL per gallon of reservoir or feed water, a single 55-gallon drum represents significant run capacity for large operations, making per-application cost materially lower than purchasing smaller retail sizes repeatedly. The PGPR colonies in Triologic establish in the substrate around the root zone and perform two primary functions. First, nitrogen fixation: the bacteria convert dinitrogen from air pockets in the substrate into ammonia-nitrogen that plant roots can absorb, supplementing the nitrate-nitrogen supplied by the base fertility program. Second, phosphate solubilization: they release organic acids and enzymes that break down insoluble phosphate compounds in the substrate, cycling bound phosphorus into orthophosphate forms the root system can take up directly.
Beyond macronutrient cycling, these beneficial bacteria support the plant's mycorrhizal relationship. The rhizobacteria produce compounds that promote mycorrhizal spore germination and fungal growth ahead of root colonization, and they sustain the mycorrhizae once established — which in turn expand the effective root surface area and provide pathogen suppression at the root interface. Applying Triologic early in plant development — from early veg through the full production cycle — gives the colonies time to establish before peak nutrient demand in flower.
Triologic's rhizobacteria have also demonstrated the ability to reduce the effects of abiotic stresses on the crop, helping plants maintain metabolic momentum through environmental fluctuations in temperature, moisture, or fertigation EC that would otherwise suppress root activity and slow uptake.
