The calcium- and iron-rich core of TechnaFlora's proven 3-part B.C. Hydroponic Nutrient system — in a commercial 20L format.
TechnaFlora B.C. Boost (3-0-2) is the constant-use base component of the B.C. Hydroponic Nutrients trio, delivering concentrated nitrate nitrogen, soluble potash, calcium, and chelated iron throughout both vegetative and flowering stages. The 20L size is purpose-built for licensed commercial operations running high-volume reservoir or recirculating systems.
TechnaFlora B.C. Boost is the second component of the three-part B.C. Hydroponic Nutrients system, used alongside B.C. Grow during vegetative stages and B.C. Bloom during flowering. Its NPK ratio is 3-0-2, with its primary function being the delivery of supplemental calcium (Ca) and chelated iron (Fe) — elements that complete the full nutritional profile when the system is run as designed.
Unlike multi-part nutrient programs where micronutrients are concentrated in only one part of the formula, the B.C. system distributes micronutrient coverage across B.C. Grow and B.C. Bloom, with B.C. Boost supplying the calcium and iron load that those two parts leave open. The result is a balanced ion profile across the full feed cycle rather than peaks and gaps tied to a single bottle.
B.C. Boost 20L is the appropriate SKU for licensed cannabis and hemp cultivators running commercial-scale operations — multi-light rooms, large recirculating DWC or NFT systems, commercial coco or rockwool runs, or any facility where buying by the liter in small quantities creates unnecessary reorder frequency and per-unit cost overhead.
The B.C. nutrient line is also confirmed compatible with soil and soilless media, not just hydroponics. Commercial soil-based or coco operators can run it using a reduced frequency schedule (commonly every third irrigation) to avoid salt accumulation — relevant for large-canopy container grows and indoor/greenhouse hybrid operations.
B.C. Boost is derived from Calcium Nitrate, Potassium Nitrate, and Iron EDTA. The nitrate-only nitrogen source (3.0% total N, all nitrate) keeps the nitrogen form stable and immediately plant-available without ammoniacal N conversion. The chelated iron (EDTA) remains soluble across the target pH range rather than precipitating out of solution.
The formulation is described by TechnaFlora as formulated — not buffered — to minimize pH fluctuation. In practice, operators running the full B.C. trio report stable reservoir pH and low salt accumulation between reservoir changes, which reduces cleaning intervals and lowers the risk of line and emitter blockages in commercial irrigation systems. Recommended operating pH is 5.5–6.5.
Mixing ratios are straightforward and printed on every label: vegetative stage uses 2 parts B.C. Boost to 1 part B.C. Grow; flowering stage uses 1 part B.C. Boost to 1 part B.C. Bloom. B.C. Boost is the one component that runs continuously through the entire crop cycle — it is never dropped from the feed program, only its ratio partner changes at the flip.
For commercial builds, the 20L format reduces the number of containers to manage per crop cycle versus 1L or 4L sizes, and is the practical entry point for any facility running more than a few hundred gallons of nutrient solution per week. TechnaFlora also offers the B.C. line in 65L, 205L, and 1000L formats for larger-scale operations — contact HSC to discuss volume requirements and lead times for those sizes.

Both. B.C. Boost is the constant component of the B.C. feed program. In veg it pairs at a 2:1 ratio with B.C. Grow; at the flip it pairs 1:1 with B.C. Bloom. The ratio partner changes, but Boost stays in every reservoir mix from seedling through late flower.
It's confirmed compatible with hydroponic, soil, and soilless media including coco. For soil or coco-based grows, TechnaFlora recommends reducing feeding frequency to avoid salt accumulation — a common approach is full-strength nutrients every third watering, with plain water in between. Always monitor runoff PPM and pH to confirm no salt buildup.
B.C. Boost's role in the system is specifically calcium, iron, nitrogen, and potassium delivery. Phosphorus is supplied by the companion products — B.C. Grow (3.0% P₂O₅) during veg and B.C. Bloom (4.0% P₂O₅) during flower. Running all three products together provides a complete macro and micronutrient profile across both stages.
The 20L is a practical commercial entry point, but TechnaFlora produces B.C. Boost in 65L, 205L, and 1000L formats as well. For high-volume facilities that can absorb larger quantities per crop cycle, those formats typically reduce per-liter cost and reorder frequency. Contact HSC directly to discuss volume options and lead times.
The B.C. line is formulated to minimize pH drift rather than relying on pH buffers. Operators typically report stable reservoir pH when running the system as directed. That said, any commercial recirculating system should still monitor and log reservoir pH routinely — maintaining a target range of 5.5–6.5 is recommended by TechnaFlora for best nutrient availability.
