1-4-7 liquid flowering base — part of TechnaFlora's proven 3-part B.C. Hydroponic Nutrient system.
TechnaFlora B.C. Bloom (1-4-7) is a highly concentrated liquid flowering base nutrient formulated to deliver phosphorus- and potassium-dominant nutrition during the reproductive phase, with a full complement of chelated micronutrients built into the formula. Pair it with B.C. Boost at a 1:1 ratio in the flowering stage for a complete, dial-in feeding solution across hydroponic, soilless, and soil-based production environments.
TechnaFlora B.C. Bloom is the flowering-stage component of the B.C. Hydroponic Nutrients 3-part system — a line that has been a production standard across commercial and craft cannabis operations for decades. The formula carries an NPK of 1-4-7: a low nitrogen profile that steps back as plants transition to flower, with elevated phosphorus (4.0% P₂O₅) and a high potassium load (7.0% K₂O) to support flower set, density, and reproductive development through harvest.
Unlike some multi-part systems that push micronutrients into a single part only, B.C. Bloom is independently complete — it contains its own full complement of chelated micronutrients (Mg, S, B, Cu, Mn, Mo, Zn) alongside the macros. The companion part, B.C. Boost, contributes supplemental calcium and iron, so the two-part flowering combination delivers a truly complete elemental profile without the need for additional secondary or micro supplements on most builds.
B.C. Bloom works across production scales and cultivation styles. It is compatible with recirculating deep water culture (DWC), drain-to-waste hydroponic systems, coco coir, rockwool, and conventional soil-based grows — making it a practical choice for operators who run multiple cultivation methods under one roof or who want a single nutrient program that travels across their facility's different rooms.
The formulation is designed to minimize pH drift without relying on pH buffering agents — it is formulated, not buffered, to stay stable. For production facilities where irrigation technicians are managing EC and pH across dozens of rows or drip zones, a nutrient line that doesn't create constant correction overhead matters. Operators also report low salt accumulation with the B.C. system, which reduces flush frequency and system cleaning downtime — a real operational factor at commercial scale.
B.C. Bloom is derived from: Potassium Nitrate, Magnesium Sulfate, Monopotassium Phosphate, Potassium Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Boric Acid, Zinc Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, and Sodium Molybdate. The nutrient sources are water-soluble and appropriate for use in recirculating and drain-to-waste irrigation systems without clogging concerns in standard commercial drip emitters or inline filters.
The guaranteed analysis for B.C. Bloom: Total N 1.0% (nitrate), P₂O₅ 4.0%, K₂O 7.0%, Mg 0.852%, S 1.37%, B 0.0072%, Cu 0.00268%, Mn 0.024%, Mo 0.00012%, Zn 0.0139%. All trace elements are chelated or in soluble sulfate form for reliable uptake across a range of substrate pH environments.
B.C. Bloom is the flowering-stage base in a straightforward two-ratio system: vegetative stage uses 2 parts B.C. Boost to 1 part B.C. Grow; flowering stage shifts to 1 part B.C. Boost to 1 part B.C. Bloom. The dosing instructions — 1 tsp B.C. Boost plus 1 tsp B.C. Bloom per gallon of water, always adding Boost first — are printed on every label. That simplicity matters when you're training cultivation staff across multiple shifts.
The 1L format is appropriate for trials, small-scale satellite rooms, or clone/propagation environments. For production-scale flowering rooms, TechnaFlora offers B.C. Bloom in 4L, 10L, 20L, 65L, 205L, and 1,000L formats through HSC — allowing operators to scale the same proven program from a test run all the way up to tote-level procurement without reformulating. No — B.C. Bloom is designed to be used alongside B.C. Boost during the flowering stage. Boost supplies the calcium and iron that Bloom does not contain. Running Bloom alone would result in calcium and iron deficiencies. The full flowering program is 1 part Boost to 1 part Bloom per gallon. If you're not running the full 3-part system, you would need to supplement calcium and iron from another source.
B.C. Bloom is compatible with hydroponic systems, coco coir, rockwool, other soilless media, and conventional soil. The water-soluble, liquid-concentrate format works in recirculating and drain-to-waste irrigation setups without filtration issues under standard operating conditions.
The B.C. line is formulated — not buffered — to minimize pH fluctuation, which reduces the frequency of pH correction compared to some other base nutrient systems. That said, source water quality varies, and commercial operators should still monitor pH at the reservoir and point of delivery. You may need less correction product, but you shouldn't eliminate pH monitoring from your protocol.
TechnaFlora formulates the B.C. system to produce minimal salt accumulation in hydroponic systems. Reduced salt load means less frequent root zone flushing and less system cleaning downtime compared to higher-salt nutrient lines — a practical benefit for production facilities running continuous cycles.
HSC carries B.C. Bloom in all available TechnaFlora sizes: 1L, 4L, 10L, 20L, 65L, 205L, and 1,000L.
