What the AMP-2 Does

The AMP-2 is the sensor interface module for the TrolMaster Aqua-X (NFS-1) irrigation control system. It acts as the signal bridge between your external probes — a pH sensor and a combined EC/temperature sensor — and the NFS-1 master controller. Without the AMP-2, the NFS-1 has no path to receive analog probe data; with it, you gain continuous, real-time visibility into three of the most operationally critical water parameters in commercial cultivation.

Once wired in, pH level, EC level, and water temperature are displayed on the NFS-1's onboard LCD screen and simultaneously pushed to the TrolMaster mobile app, so your cultivation team can monitor reservoir conditions from anywhere on the facility or remotely. The board ships with a 2.5-meter signal cable for connecting it back to the NFS-1 controller.

Key Features and Terminal Layout

The AMP-2 mounts on a DIN-type bracket, keeping it clean and rail-mountable in a standard electrical enclosure or on a wall surface near the reservoir. Terminal layout is straightforward: the BNC terminal on the left accepts a direct connection to a PPH-1 or PPH-2 pH probe; the mini-DIN terminal on the right accepts a PCT-1 or PCT-2 EC/temperature probe; and the mini-DIN terminal in the middle connects back to the NFS-1 controller via the included signal cable.

Minimum and maximum threshold limits for pH, EC, and water temperature are configurable on the NFS-1 itself, and the system will generate 24/7 out-of-range notifications when a parameter drifts outside the set window. For a licensed facility running tight nutrient programs, this translates to automated early-warning on reservoir drift rather than discovering a pH crash at the next manual check.

How It Fits a Commercial Aqua-X Build

In a fully built-out NFS-1 system, the AMP-2 slots in alongside up to five control boards (OA6-24 or OA6-110), up to eight water content sensors (WCS-1), and up to 30 water detectors — all connected back to the NFS-1 hub. The AMP-2's role is specifically water-chemistry monitoring: it closes the loop between your irrigation scheduling and your actual nutrient solution quality so those two data sets live in the same system.
