What the WS100 Is

The Apera WS100 is a portable multi-parameter meter purpose-built for accurate fluoride and pH measurement in both laboratory and field conditions. The core of the kit is the patented F501 3-in-1 fluoride ion probe, which integrates an ion-selective electrode, a reference electrode, and a temperature electrode into a single body. This design eliminates the need for sample stirring or the addition of reagents during testing — the probe reads fluoride concentration directly, similar in operation to a standard pH measurement.

A 201T-S combination pH electrode with automatic temperature compensation (ATC) is included alongside the fluoride probe, allowing operators to capture fluoride concentration, pH, and temperature in the same testing session without swapping instruments. The meter is compliant with EPA Method 340.2 for fluoride analysis, making it appropriate for regulated testing workflows. The entire kit ships in a hard portable case with calibration solutions and backup batteries included — ready to deploy from day one.

The 2-point automatic fluoride calibration uses standard solutions at 0.19 mg/L and 19.0 mg/L. pH calibration is 3-point automatic, using pH 4.00, 7.00, and 10.01 buffer solutions — all calibration solutions are included in the kit. Units for fluoride readings are switchable between mg/L, ppm, ppt, and pF, depending on reporting requirements.

The meter features a large backlit display, 300-group data storage (recording measurement value, temperature, and units for each logged point), auto power-off, backlight adjustment, and a self-diagnosis function that flags electrode or calibration issues before they produce bad data. The IP57 water-resistance rating covers submersion up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes, making the unit genuinely field-deployable rather than just splash-resistant.
