OEM-matched 1000W DE replacement lamp — 2100K deep-red spectrum for commercial flower production.
Matrix DE HPS 1000W Replacement Lamp is the factory-matched consumable for Matrix DE 1000W fixture platforms. Running at 2100K, it delivers deep-red-dominant output optimized for the bloom cycle — replace on a scheduled hour interval, not at failure, to protect canopy PPFD across your flower rooms.
The Matrix DE HPS 1000W Replacement Lamp is the OEM consumable designed to maintain peak photon output in Matrix DE 1000W double-ended HPS fixture platforms. It runs at full 1000W via a double-ended arc tube configuration — both ends of the arc tube are anchored to the fixture's K12×30s sockets, which eliminates the internal wire frame found in single-ended lamps and allows the arc tube to run at a higher operating temperature.
The lamp's 2100K color temperature sits at the warm end of the HPS spectrum, concentrating spectral energy in the red and orange bands most relevant to flower initiation, bud set density, and late-stage ripening. This is a purpose-built flowering-cycle lamp — not a full-cycle or vegetative spectrum. The SKU is 10-010201-024 and is sold individually or in commercial case quantities through Hydro Supply Co.
This lamp is stocked for licensed cannabis and hemp cultivation facilities running Matrix DE 1000W fixtures across multi-room production layouts. If your operation built out on the Matrix DE platform, this is the correct replacement lamp — it is spec'd to the electrical and photometric parameters of that fixture and ballast combination.
Multi-site and multi-room operators benefit most from standardizing on a single replacement lamp SKU across all DE positions. Consistent lamp brand and spec across a flower room means uniform PPFD at canopy — mixing lamp brands or running lamps past their replacement interval introduces room-to-room output variance that shows up in yield inconsistency. Facilities tracking lamp hours as part of a preventive maintenance schedule will find this lamp a straightforward line-item reorder.
Double-ended lamp architecture allows the arc tube to operate without an internal support wire, removing a common source of light obstruction found in single-ended HPS lamps. The result is a cleaner photon path to the reflector surface. The 2100K output is lower in color temperature than most standard HPS lamps, which pushes a greater share of spectral energy into the deep red wavelengths cannabis cultivars respond to during peak flower development and the final ripening phase.
Like all HPS lamps, this is a scheduled-replacement consumable. Lumen output begins declining from the first hour of operation and continues throughout the lamp's rated life. By the end of the rated interval, output can be 20–30% below initial levels even though the lamp continues to ignite and appear functional. Commercial operations should replace on hours, not on failure — running degraded lamps past their replacement interval means spending the same electricity cost for measurably less photosynthetically active radiation at canopy.
For facilities already running the Matrix DE 1000W fixture, this lamp installs without modification — it is the OEM-matched replacement. Procurement teams can coordinate case-quantity orders through HSC to align deliveries with scheduled lamp swap cycles, reducing the risk of running degraded lamps because replacements weren't on hand in time.
Operations that track grow-room metrics (PPFD maps, yield-per-light, electrical cost-per-gram) will see the clearest return on scheduled lamp replacement. Maintaining lamps at or near initial output keeps room-level PPFD consistent from cycle to cycle, which is foundational to yield predictability. HSC carries this SKU nationally and can coordinate supply for single-facility operators and multi-site groups alike. Contact us to discuss volume pricing and delivery scheduling.

Replace on a scheduled hour interval — the industry-standard guideline for 1000W DE HPS lamps is approximately every 10,000 hours of operation. At a 12-hour daily flowering photoperiod, that works out to roughly 2–2.5 years, but lumen output will have declined 20–30% by that point. Commercial operations should replace based on logged lamp hours, not on lamp failure. A lamp that still ignites can still be significantly underperforming on PPFD.
The K12×30s base is the standard socket for 1000W double-ended HPS lamps, so physical fitment is broadly compatible with most 1000W DE HPS fixture platforms. However, the Matrix DE lamp is spec'd and tested for the Matrix DE 1000W ballast. DE ballast-to-lamp compatibility requires more care than single-ended HPS — ballasts from different manufacturers have slightly different electrical characteristics. For guaranteed photometric performance, use this lamp in the Matrix DE 1000W fixture it was designed for.
HPS lamps are a consumable with a lumen depreciation curve that begins at first ignition. By the time a lamp reaches its rated replacement interval, output may be 20–30% below initial levels — the lamp still fires, but PPFD at canopy is materially reduced. In a commercial flower room, running degraded lamps means spending the same electrical cost per cycle for less light intensity, which translates directly to lower yield. Scheduled replacement based on logged hours is standard practice in professionally managed facilities.

This is a double-ended (DE) lamp — it requires a DE-specific fixture with K12×30s sockets at both ends of the lamp. It is not compatible with standard single-ended (mogul base, E39) HPS fixtures. If your current fixtures are single-ended HPS, this lamp will not install without replacing the fixtures. The Matrix DE 1000W fixture platform is the intended pairing for this lamp.
