The LMA-T is a purpose-built adapter that allows the TrolMaster Hydro-X environmental control system to communicate with ThinkGrow LED fixtures using ThinkGrow's proprietary low-voltage control protocol. Most grow light manufacturers use low-volt control for dimming and scheduling, but that control takes different forms depending on the brand. The LMA-T translates the Hydro-X controller's output into the specific signal ThinkGrow fixtures expect — something a generic 0-10V adapter cannot do.
The adapter occupies both lighting control ports (Line 1 and Line 2) on the Hydro-X controller, dedicating each line to a separate spectrum channel on the ThinkGrow fixture. This gives the operator independent on/off scheduling and dimming setpoints for the full-spectrum channel and the deep-red channel from a single Hydro-X interface — no separate controller, no manual adjustments at the fixture.
Any licensed cannabis or hemp operation running ThinkGrow LED fixtures alongside a TrolMaster Hydro-X system (HCS-1, HCS-2 Pro, or HCS-3 Plus) needs the LMA-T to enable full dimming and scheduling control. The LMA-T is designed for ThinkGrow LED systems broadly, with the best functionality on the ThinkGrow PLUS series, where paired with an HCS-2 or HCS-3 it can deliver individual control across up to four spectrum channels. Note that fixtures with two independent manual knobs for two separate bulbs cannot be controlled via the Hydro-X regardless of adapter.
