Leizig Duct kit (R32 Dehumidifier for LG508C, LG880C)

OEM ducting accessory for Leizig's high-capacity R32 dehumidifiers — LG508C and LG880C only.

The Leizig Duct Kit (SKU 31800050) is the factory-matched ducting accessory for the LG508C (508 pt/day) and LG880C (880 pt/day) R32 commercial dehumidifiers. It enables fully ducted, remote-mount installations — placing the unit outside the canopy zone and routing conditioned air precisely where moisture load is highest.

What This Kit Does

The Leizig Duct Kit is an OEM accessory designed exclusively for two units in the Leizig commercial lineup: the LG508C and the LG880C — the R32 refrigerant variants of Leizig's largest-capacity dehumidifiers. The kit provides the transition hardware needed to connect rigid or flexible ductwork to the unit's inlet and discharge ports, enabling the dehumidifier to be installed outside the primary grow space and serve the room through dedicated supply and return runs.

Without ducting hardware, Leizig units operate in open-air mode — air is drawn in and discharged directly within the same space. The duct kit changes the operational footprint entirely: the unit can be placed in a mechanical room, hallway, or adjacent space, with ductwork routing return air from the canopy zone into the unit and conditioned, dehumidified air back into the room. This is the preferred configuration in tightly designed licensed facilities where floor space and airborne pathogen risk are both managed at the design level.

Which Builds Need This

Ducted dehumidifier installations are common in larger licensed cannabis and hemp facilities where the cultivation room is fully sealed with CO2 enrichment, where HVAC zoning requires that all air-side equipment is located outside the canopy environment, or where the physical size of the LG880C makes in-room overhead mounting structurally impractical. Any facility that specs the LG508C or LG880C for a remote-mount configuration needs this kit — it is the only OEM-matched ducting interface for these units.

The LG508C runs 508 pints per day at 6.8 pints/kWh with a 1,500 CFM blower, suited to large single-room or multi-zone flower operations. The LG880C pushes 880 pints per day and is built for multi-room facilities or exceptionally high-transpiration single canopies running 20+ fixtures. Both units run R32 refrigerant — a lower-GWP alternative to R410A with zero ozone depletion potential, now EPA SNAP-approved for commercial dehumidification applications.

Model Compatibility — Verify Before Ordering

This duct kit is matched to the LG508C and LG880C specifically — the R32 refrigerant versions of these units. The standard LG508 (R410A) and other Leizig models are not confirmed compatible. Port geometry and collar sizing are unit-specific; using a non-matched duct kit risks poor fit, duct leakage, and reduced system performance. If you are unsure whether your unit is the LG508C or LG880C variant, confirm the model number from the unit's label before ordering.

If you are specifying new equipment and ducting simultaneously, HSC can coordinate both the host dehumidifier unit and this duct kit as part of a single order — verify model, voltage, and installation configuration with us before finalizing the quote.

Installation Context and Integration

Leizig's commercial dehumidifiers natively support four mounting configurations: ceiling-suspended (hoisted), wall-mounted, floor cabinet, and freestanding. Ceiling-suspended installations paired with a duct kit are the most common configuration in purpose-built licensed facilities — the unit is hoisted overhead in a mechanical corridor or utility chase, with supply and return ducts penetrating the wall or ceiling into the canopy room. This removes the unit's heat load and mechanical noise from the grow environment while maintaining full moisture removal capacity.

Both the LG508C and LG880C include RS485 (MODBUS) communication and remote dry contact input, so ducted remote installations integrate cleanly into facility-level environmental controllers without requiring line-of-sight to the unit. Drainage still requires direct plumbing — a 3/4" NPT threaded drain connection on the LG508C routes condensate to a floor drain or condensate pump. Plan drain routing as part of the remote-mount design; retrofitting after installation adds labor and creates workflow disruptions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this duct kit fit the standard Leizig LG508 or LG880 (non-C models)?

Not confirmed. This kit is spec'd for the LG508C and LG880C — the R32 variants. The standard LG508 (R410A) has different model designation. Port geometry may differ. Verify your unit's full model number from the label before ordering.

Can I duct the LG508C or LG880C outside the grow room and still maintain full capacity?

Yes, with proper duct design. Both units are built for remote-mount ducted installations — ceiling-suspended in a mechanical space with supply and return runs penetrating into the canopy room. Keep duct runs short, minimize bends, and size duct diameter to match the unit's blower CFM to avoid static pressure losses that reduce effective airflow and moisture removal.

Do I need one duct kit per unit, or does one kit cover both a 508C and an 880C in the same facility?

One kit per unit. Each dehumidifier requires its own set of duct transitions for inlet and discharge. If your facility runs both an LG508C and an LG880C, order a duct kit for each unit.

Why do the LG508C and LG880C use R32 instead of R410A?

R32 has a global warming potential (GWP) of 675 — roughly one-third the GWP of R410A (2,088) — and zero ozone depletion potential. The EPA added R32 to the SNAP approved list for dehumidifiers in April 2023. The C-suffix Leizig models are the R32 variants of these high-capacity units.

Does the duct kit include hardware for both the inlet and the supply (discharge) sides?

Duct kits of this type for commercial dehumidifiers standardly include transition collars for both the air inlet and the conditioned-air discharge port. Confirm with HSC at time of quote if you need clarification on included components for your specific installation design.
