What the Duct Kit Does

The Leizig Duct Kit provides the interface hardware needed to connect ductwork to the inlet and outlet ports of the LG195, LG228, or LG335 dehumidifier. Without ducting, these units draw and discharge air in their immediate installation zone. With this kit installed, you can position the dehumidifier in an equipment corridor, mechanical closet, or overhead structural bay and route conditioned dry air precisely to the canopy zone where moisture loads are highest.

This matters in practice because commercial flower rooms rarely have a single uniform humidity zone. Transpiration pressure concentrates near the canopy, and large rooms with dense plant counts can develop microclimates that a free-standing unit placement won't address as efficiently. Ducting the discharge to the problem zone — and returning room air through a separate inlet duct — tightens the dehumidification loop and reduces how hard the unit has to cycle to hit your RH target.

Compatible Host Units — Confirm Before Ordering

This kit is matched to three models in the Leizig commercial lineup. The LG195 removes 195 pints per day at 7.0 pints/kWh with 600 CFM airflow and accepts 110–240VAC single-phase input — the most electrically flexible unit in the line, suited for dedicated grow rooms or supplemental zone coverage. The LG228 handles 228 pints per day at 6.9 pints/kWh with 520 CFM; it's the quietest unit in the range at 68 dB(A) and auto-adapts to 208–277V dual-voltage supplies, with a 240V single-phase variant also available. The LG335 steps up to 335 pints per day at 6.8 pints/kWh and pushes 900 CFM — a meaningful airflow increase for larger rooms with higher canopy density.

All three host units run R32 refrigerant, carry RS485 (MODBUS) communication and remote dry contact input for integration with environmental controllers, and support four installation orientations: ceiling-suspended, wall-mounted, floor cabinet, and freestanding. Ducting is most commonly paired with ceiling-suspended and wall-mounted installations. If your unit is an LG508, LG880, or any model outside this three-model group, this kit is not the correct part — verify your model number before placing a quote request.

Why Ducting Matters in Commercial Cultivation

Sealed flower rooms generate continuous transpiration load across every lights-on cycle. Dehumidifiers sized correctly for the room's pint-per-day demand still underperform if placement doesn't match where moisture accumulates. Ducting the discharge to canopy level, or routing return air from the highest-humidity zone, lets the unit work on the air that actually needs conditioning rather than recirculating already-dry air near its cabinet.

For ceiling-suspended installations specifically, ducting also opens the option of remote-placing the unit above a drop ceiling or in an adjacent mechanical space, which reduces in-room noise and keeps floor and wall real estate available for production infrastructure. The Leizig LG228 operating at its 68 dB(A) ceiling is already one of the quieter units in this capacity class; a ducted remote installation takes noise out of the equation entirely for light-dep and 24-hour flowering environments where ambient noise affects staff and operations.

Installation and Sourcing Notes

This duct kit is an OEM accessory sold separately from the dehumidifier unit. It is designed specifically for the LG195, LG228, and LG335 chassis — the port geometry and mounting interface are matched at the factory level. Using generic HVAC duct collars as a substitute risks air leakage at the connection point and may void warranty coverage on the host unit; the OEM kit eliminates that risk.

Flexible ductwork connecting to the kit collars is not included and should be sourced to match your installation's static pressure and run-length requirements.
