Integration Hub

Run your existing TrolMaster® hardware on Growlink OS — no rip-and-replace required.

The Growlink Integration Hub (GL-HUB-TROLMASTER) is a 100% Growlink-engineered controller that bridges your installed TrolMaster® Hydro-X and Aqua-X sensors and devices into the Growlink platform, giving operators centralized climate, irrigation, and lighting automation through a single web and mobile dashboard — without scrapping existing hardware investments.

What the Integration Hub Does

The Growlink Integration Hub is a dedicated hardware controller that acts as an alternative to the TrolMaster® Hydro-X and Aqua-X controller units. Rather than replacing the sensors and device stations you already have wired into your grow rooms, the hub bridges them directly into Growlink OS — the cloud-based platform that provides advanced data logging, analytics, and rule-based automation across your facility.

The unit runs as a read/write data device operating within the standard communication protocols of the connected TrolMaster® hardware. Growlink has tested the hub extensively and states the system runs in parallel with existing equipment, meaning your connected sensors and device stations continue to function normally while Growlink OS takes over as the command layer. It can operate as a standalone unit or as part of a larger networked multi-hub deployment.

Who This Is Built For

This hub is the right call for licensed commercial cannabis and hemp operators who have already made a meaningful investment in TrolMaster® sensing and control hardware — Hydro-X, Hydro-X Pro, or Aqua-X ecosystems — but want more from their software layer than the native TrolMaster® platform provides. If you're running multiple rooms or facilities and need unified monitoring, audit-ready data logs, and programmable automation triggers across all of them, the Integration Hub gets you there without a full equipment refresh.

It also suits operations in expansion mode: if you're adding rooms or a second facility and want everything on one platform from the start, deploying Integration Hubs in new build-outs alongside existing rooms lets you standardize on Growlink OS across the board. Multi-hub support within the same room means large canopy footprints with dense sensor arrays are fully covered — just add hubs as device count grows past 16 per zone.

Key Features and Compatible Hardware

Each hub supports up to 16 TrolMaster® devices per unit, with dedicated port groups for sensors, device stations, and lighting control adapters (Line 1 and Line 2). Physical connectivity is Ethernet-primary with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi available as the main or backup connection to the Growlink cloud. Power requirement is 24VDC at 2.7A.

Compatible TrolMaster® sensors include the MBS-TH (3-in-1 temp/humidity/light), MBS-PRO (4-in-1 with CO₂), MBS-S8 CO₂ sensor, MBS-PAR full-spectrum quantum sensor, PPH-1/PPH-2 pH sensors, PCT-1/PCT-2 EC and temperature sensors, WCS-2 media moisture/EC/temp sensor, MBS-SD smoke detector, and WD-2 water detector. Compatible device stations include DSC-1 CO₂ stations, DSP-1/DSP-2 timer program stations (120V/240V), DSD-1 dry contact stations, DSV-1 low-volt control stations, and the O4B-24 Aqua-X 12-output control board. Lighting control adapters supported include the LMA-14 (0–10V luminaires), LMA-T (dual-channel ThinkGrow), LMA-12 (Dimlux ballasts), LMA-11 (Phantom ballasts), LMA-13 (Sun System ballasts), LMA-15 (DLI ballasts), FSC-2 fan speed dimmer, and VFD-1 variable frequency fan speed control.

Once devices are connected and addressed, all monitoring, scheduling, and automation is managed through the Growlink mobile app or web dashboard. Growlink OS supports custom workflows and event-based triggers — for example, ramping CO₂ dosing in response to a PAR threshold or triggering an alert when EC readings drift outside a set range.

How It Fits a Commercial Build

For multi-room facilities, the practical deployment model is one or more Integration Hubs per grow room, all reporting into a single Growlink account. The Growlink platform provides unified monitoring across all rooms via app or web dashboard, so cultivators and facility managers get a consolidated view of temperature, humidity, CO₂, VPD, PAR, substrate EC and moisture, and irrigation status — regardless of how many rooms or sites are in the network.

On the automation side, Growlink OS allows operators to build custom rule-based workflows and triggers that would otherwise require manual intervention or more expensive proprietary control systems. This is particularly relevant for licensed cannabis operators running compliance-sensitive environments where consistent, documented environmental control is a regulatory expectation, not just a best practice.

The hub is manufactured in the USA and requires a local network switch or router with an active internet connection to communicate with the Growlink cloud. Setup follows a plug-and-play process: power on, connect to network, address TrolMaster® devices on the chain, and the hub begins reporting into Growlink OS.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Integration Hub replace my existing TrolMaster® sensors and device stations?

No. The hub replaces the TrolMaster® Hydro-X or Aqua-X controller unit — the 'brain' of your existing system — while your sensors and device stations remain in place and continue to operate. The Integration Hub is a 100% Growlink-engineered product that communicates with TrolMaster® hardware using standard protocols, then feeds that data into Growlink OS.

How many devices can one hub support, and what do I do if I need more?

Each Integration Hub supports up to 16 TrolMaster® devices. For rooms with higher device counts or larger sensor arrays, you can deploy multiple hubs within the same room. All hubs report into the same Growlink account, so monitoring and automation remain unified regardless of how many hubs are active.

What network infrastructure does the hub require?

The hub requires a connection to a local network switch or router with active internet access to communicate with the Growlink cloud. Ethernet is the primary connection method; 2.4GHz Wi-Fi can be used as the main connection or as a backup. A Growlink OS subscription is required to use the platform.

Will using this hub void my TrolMaster® hardware warranty?

Growlink states the Integration Hub operates within the safe, standard communication protocols of the hardware and runs in parallel with existing equipment without causing harm. Growlink also backs this with a warranty coverage commitment: if TrolMaster® denies a valid warranty claim in writing and cites the Integration Hub as the sole reason for denial, Growlink will cover the cost of repair or replacement of that item.

Which TrolMaster® lighting control adapters are supported?

The hub supports a range of TrolMaster® lighting control adapters including the LMA-14 (0–10V dimming), LMA-T (ThinkGrow dual-channel), LMA-12 (Dimlux ballasts), LMA-11 (Phantom ballasts), LMA-13 (Sun System ballasts), and LMA-15 (DLI ballasts), connected through the Line 1 and Line 2 ports on the hub.
