Commercially rated inline pH probe built for continuous monitoring in commercial cultivation systems.
The TrolMaster PPH-2 is a heavy-duty, commercially rated pH probe purpose-built for the TrolMaster Aqua-X Irrigation Control System. It installs inline with existing PVC piping or directly in a water tank, delivering continuous pH readings to the Aqua-X master controller and the TrolMaster mobile app via the AMP-2 or AMP-3 sensor board.
The TrolMaster PPH-2 is a heavy-duty, in-tank and inline pH electrode probe designed specifically for integration with the TrolMaster Aqua-X Irrigation Control System. The single-cylinder electrode connects directly to an AMP-2 or AMP-3 sensor board via its BNC terminal, feeding real-time pH data to the Aqua-X master controller LCD and to the TrolMaster mobile app. The probe is rated for continuous-use environments — commercial hydroponic facilities, fertigation loops, and large-scale reservoir monitoring — not casual spot-checking.
The 3.6-meter (approximately 11.8-foot) cable gives enough reach to mount the sensor board in a convenient panel location while positioning the probe in the optimal sampling point — whether that is inline in a supply line or submerged in a mix tank. The PPH-2 is compatible across the Aqua-X product family, including the NFS-1, NFS-2, NFS-3, Green-X (GCS-1), and Tent-X (TCS-1) controllers, provided the appropriate sensor board (AMP-2 for NFS-1, AMP-3 for all others) is installed.
The PPH-2 is the right tool for licensed cannabis and hemp operators running TrolMaster Aqua-X controllers for fertigation management. If your facility is already on the Aqua-X platform — or you are specifying a new build around it — the PPH-2 closes the loop on water-chemistry monitoring without adding a separate handheld meter or standalone data logger to your workflow.
It is also appropriate for any commercial hydroponic operation that needs 24/7 continuous pH tracking rather than manual spot tests: DWC systems, NFT lines, coco fertigation, and multi-zone recirculating setups where pH drift can happen quickly and silently between hand-checks. The sensor board's min/max alarm threshold settings allow operators to receive real-time out-of-limits notifications through the Aqua-X controller and app, so pH excursions are caught before they affect nutrient availability or crop quality.
Commercially rated construction: The PPH-2 is built to commercial specification, not hobbyist grade, designed for continuous immersion and the humidity levels found inside active grow facilities.
Aqua-X native integration: Plug-and-play connection to the AMP-2 or AMP-3 sensor board via BNC terminal. No third-party adapters or signal converters required. Once connected, pH data appears on both the sensor board LCD and the master controller screen, and syncs to the TrolMaster app for remote visibility.
Flexible installation: The probe can be positioned inline in existing PVC piping runs or submerged in a water tank or reservoir, giving operators flexibility in how they integrate pH monitoring into their irrigation architecture.
Important storage requirement: Like all glass-electrode pH probes, the PPH-2 must be stored wet using the included storage cap and appropriate probe storage solution. A probe that dries out completely will not recover normal function, and units returned without the cap in a dry state are not covered under warranty. Plan your maintenance schedule accordingly.
In a typical Aqua-X fertigation setup, the PPH-2 pairs with a PCT-series EC/temperature probe on the same AMP-2 or AMP-3 sensor board. Together, they give the controller continuous visibility into the three water-chemistry variables that matter most — pH, EC, and temperature — without requiring manual dips between irrigation cycles.
For larger facilities running Aqua-X Pro (NFS-2), up to 50 AMP-3 sensor boards can be daisy-chained to a single controller, meaning operators can monitor pH at multiple points in a multi-zone system — different mix tanks, different grow rooms, or different crop types — from one centralized interface. The PPH-2's BNC connection is consistent across AMP-2 and AMP-3 boards, so the same probe SKU works whether you are on a single-zone Aqua-X or a scaled-out Aqua-X Pro installation.

Yes. The PPH-2 is compatible with the full Aqua-X line. On NFS-1 systems it connects via the AMP-2 sensor board; on NFS-2, NFS-3, Green-X (GCS-1), and Tent-X (TCS-1) systems it connects via the AMP-3 sensor board. The BNC connection is the same across both boards.
Both. The probe is designed for in-tank or reservoir placement and can also be fitted inline with existing PVC piping. The 3.6-meter cable provides enough slack to position the probe at the best sampling point regardless of installation method.
pH electrodes require wet storage to remain functional. Always keep the storage cap installed with appropriate probe storage solution when the probe is not in active use. A probe that fully dries out will not recover calibration or normal function. TrolMaster's warranty explicitly excludes probes returned without the cap in a dry state.
Yes. Once the PPH-2 is connected to an AMP-2 or AMP-3 sensor board and that board is connected to an Aqua-X controller, pH data is displayed on both the controller's LCD screen and pushed to the TrolMaster app, allowing remote monitoring and out-of-limits alerting from your phone.
Yes. The PPH-2 probe does not include a sensor board. The AMP-2 or AMP-3 (depending on which Aqua-X controller generation you are running) must be purchased and installed as a separate component to bridge the probe to the main controller.
