Dedicated 120V relay module for humidifier and dehumidifier control within the TrolMaster Hydro-X ecosystem.
The TrolMaster DSH-1 is a plug-and-play humidity control relay station designed to integrate standard humidifying or dehumidifying equipment directly into the Hydro-X environmental control system. Rated at 10 amps and compatible with world voltage standards (100–240 VAC), it gives operators centralized, automated RH management without standalone timers or external relays cluttering the room.
The TrolMaster DSH-1 is a dedicated humidity device station — a switched relay module that plugs into the TrolMaster Hydro-X controller network and gives the system direct on/off authority over any connected humidifier or dehumidifier. Rather than running a standalone plug-in timer or a separate analog controller, the DSH-1 hands switching duty to the Hydro-X, which responds to live RH sensor data according to your programmed set points and schedules.
The module operates across the full world voltage standard (100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz), making it compatible with virtually any humidifying or dehumidifying device rated up to 10 amps. For dehumidifier loads specifically, TrolMaster specifies keeping draw below 7 amps to avoid triggering the module's built-in overload protection — a practical spec to confirm against your equipment's nameplate before install.
The DSH-1 belongs in any licensed cannabis or hemp cultivation facility already running — or planning to run — a TrolMaster Hydro-X controller. Humidity variance is one of the most common triggers for mold pressure, VPD drift, and failed compliance audits, and managing it through a centralized environmental controller is significantly more reliable than standalone plug-in devices with no data feedback.
It fits single-room build-outs as well as multi-zone commercial operations. Because Hydro-X modules daisy-chain via RJ12 cabling, operators can address multiple DSH-1 units to a single controller, assigning independent humidity device control per zone. The included T-splitter and two cable lengths (16 ft and 4 ft) give installers enough hardware to start wiring without sourcing additional cables for most standard room configurations.
The DSH-1 ships with a three-indicator LED system that communicates module status at a glance — useful in live grows where pulling up a controller app every time you walk the room is not practical. A fast-blinking green LED means the module has not yet been addressed to the controller or has lost connection. A slow-blinking green indicates the module is addressed and connected, but the output is currently off. A solid green confirms the module is on and actively switching its connected device. A blinking red indicates an overload condition — resolved by unplugging to reset.
The module also supports a manual override: pressing and holding the button on the DSH-1 toggles the output on or off independent of the controller, which is useful during maintenance or commissioning. Addressing is done by pressing the small button on the unit when first installed, linking it to the Hydro-X network. The plug-and-play design requires no additional configuration hardware beyond what is included in the pack.
In a commercial cultivation room, humidity management is a critical pillar of VPD control, and the DSH-1 is the hardware link between a TrolMaster controller's logic and the physical equipment doing the work. Instead of a grower or technician manually adjusting a dehumidifier's onboard controls, the Hydro-X reads RH from its sensor suite and fires the DSH-1 relay when conditions fall outside programmed thresholds — keeping the room consistent shift-over-shift.
For multi-room facilities, speccing one DSH-1 per humidity device per zone keeps control granular and auditable. The module's compact form factor (approximately 3.3" × 3.2" × 3.5") means it installs cleanly in equipment panels or on rack uprights without consuming meaningful space. The DSH-2 is TrolMaster's 240V counterpart for facilities running 240V humidity equipment — confirm your device voltage before speccing DSH-1 vs. DSH-2.

The DSH-1 is designed to integrate with the TrolMaster Hydro-X environmental control system. It communicates via RJ12 daisy-chain connection and is addressed to the controller during initial setup. Confirm compatibility with your specific Hydro-X model before ordering if you are running an older firmware revision.
It controls both — humidifiers and dehumidifiers. The key spec to check for dehumidifier use is amperage: TrolMaster specifies keeping dehumidifier load below 7 amps to avoid triggering the overload protection, even though the module is rated to 10 amps. Check your dehumidifier's nameplate draw before wiring.
A blinking red LED indicates the module has entered an overload condition — the connected device drew more current than the module could handle safely. To reset, unplug the DSH-1 from power. Once cleared, verify that the connected device's amp draw is within the module's rated limits before reconnecting.
Yes. The Hydro-X system supports multiple device stations daisy-chained via RJ12 cabling. Each module is individually addressed to the controller, allowing independent control of separate humidity devices — useful for operators managing multiple zones or rooms from a single controller.
The DSH-1 is the 120V variant. The DSH-2 is TrolMaster's 240V humidity device station, intended for facilities running 240V dehumidifiers or humidifiers. Both modules share the same Hydro-X integration and RJ12 connectivity — the deciding factor is your equipment's input voltage.
