Standard RJ-45 link cable for every Growlink LINKS device — power and data in one run.
The Growlink HUB Connection Cable (3m) is the standard RJ-45 cable used to connect any LINKS device to the LINKS 8-Port HUB, carrying both data and device power over a single connection. At 9 ft 10 in, it covers most rack-to-hub and wall-mount-to-hub runs without extension.
The HUB Connection Cable (SKU: HUB-CON-3M) is Growlink's standard interconnect for the LINKS ecosystem. It is an RJ-45 cable, 3 meters in length, used to plug any LINKS device — climate sensor, lighting controller, irrigation module, power outlet, or substrate sensor — into one of the eight device ports on the LINKS 8-Port HUB.
The cable carries both data and device power in a single run. The LINKS HUB supplies up to 1A of shared power across its eight device ports, delivered over these same RJ-45 cables, so no separate power wiring is needed at the device end. This is the same cable included in every LINKS device box and is the default working length for most installation layouts.
Any operator expanding a Growlink LINKS installation will need additional HUB connection cables. Common scenarios include: adding a LINKS device to a room where the included cable is too short or has been re-routed; replacing a damaged cable in an existing setup; and pre-stocking spares during a multi-room build to avoid installation delays.
The 3m length is well-suited for installations where the HUB is mounted outside the room or on an adjacent wall, with cables passing through penetrations to devices and sensors inside the canopy space — the layout Growlink recommends to keep the HUB in a lower-humidity environment. Operators who need longer runs can pair this cable with a 5-meter M8 extension or source longer RJ-45 runs through HSC. The LINKS HUB supports device communication up to 1,000 ft from the hub over its buffered transceiver ports.
Connector: Standard RJ-45 on both ends, plug-and-play with no configuration required. Devices are auto-discovered by the HUB when connected, so there are no address switches or jumpers to set on the cable itself.
Color: Blue — consistent with Growlink's LINKS accessory color convention, making it visually distinct from Ethernet network cables in multi-cable installations where cable management clarity matters.
Build quality is rated for continuous operation in grow environments, including elevated humidity conditions. Growlink recommends mounting the HUB outside the grow space or in a sealed enclosure when ambient humidity runs above 70% continuously — the cable itself runs through the wall penetration into the room.
Every LINKS device — canopyLINK climate sensors, digital lightLINK lighting controllers, irrigationLINKs, powerLINKs, and substrate sensors — connects to the LINKS 8-Port HUB via an RJ-45 HUB connection cable. The architecture is simple: one cable per device, plugged directly into one of the eight numbered device ports on the HUB.
When sizing cable quantities for a build, count one cable per LINKS device per room. The HUB supports up to eight devices per unit; facilities with more devices or multiple rooms add additional HUBs, each requiring its own set of cables. For multi-room commercial builds, ordering spare HUB connection cables alongside the device order avoids delays if a cable is damaged during construction or drywall work. HSC can coordinate quantity orders nationally for new facility builds and retrofit projects.

Yes. The HUB-CON-3M is the standard RJ-45 cable included with all LINKS device setups. This listing lets you order additional or replacement cables separately.
Both. The LINKS 8-Port HUB delivers power and data over the same RJ-45 cable. Up to 1A of shared power is distributed across the HUB's eight device ports, so LINKS devices do not require a separate power supply when connected via this cable.
Growlink also offers a 5-meter M8 extension cable for longer device runs. For runs beyond that, the LINKS HUB's individually buffered transceiver ports support LINKS device communication up to 1,000 ft from the HUB. Contact HSC to discuss cable configuration for your specific floor plan.
One cable per LINKS device. The LINKS 8-Port HUB has eight device ports, so a fully loaded HUB requires up to eight HUB connection cables. Multi-room facilities with multiple HUBs will need a proportional quantity.
This cable is specific to the LINKS ecosystem and the LINKS 8-Port HUB. Growlink's Connect and CORE controllers use different wiring architectures (M12 and terminal block connections). If you're building or expanding a LINKS-based setup, this is the correct cable.
