Zone-level 0-10V lighting control with independent group scheduling for Hydro-X Pro and Plus.
The TrolMaster LMA-14G is a Group Control Adapter that bridges Hydro-X Pro (HCS-2) and Hydro-X Plus (HCS-3) environmental controllers to any horticultural fixture with a standard 0-10V dimming input, enabling independently scheduled lighting zones in the same facility. Each LMA-14G controls one group of lights — deploy one per lighting zone for zone-by-zone schedule and dimming management.
The TrolMaster LMA-14G is a Group Control Lighting Adapter designed for operations running multiple independent lighting zones under a single TrolMaster environmental controller. It accepts a 12V input from the controller and outputs an analog 0-10V signal that translates the Hydro-X system's digital scheduling and dimming commands into the low-voltage signal your fixture's driver expects.
Where the standard LMA-14 adapter handles a fleet of lights on a shared schedule, the LMA-14G adds zone-level granularity: each adapter is assigned its own schedule group via the onboard LCD, so different rooms, benches, or cultivation stages can run different photoperiods and intensity ramps — all managed from one Hydro-X Pro or Hydro-X Plus controller. Connection to the controller is via RJ12 cable for a clean, plug-and-play install with no custom wiring at the controller end.
The LMA-14G is the right adapter for licensed cannabis and hemp facilities that need zone-differentiated lighting control: think a veg room and a bloom room on separate photoperiods, a propagation bench on a third schedule, or any multi-stage layout where a single shared schedule would be a bottleneck. It's also the right call for retrofits — if your facility already runs TrolMaster Hydro-X Pro or Plus and you're adding a new zone or canopy area, one LMA-14G per new group is all you need to bring those fixtures into the existing controller ecosystem.
Because it's designed for most horticultural lighting fixtures with a standard 0-10V dimming input — including a wide range of commercial LED drivers and HID ballasts — the LMA-14G works across common fixture platforms without requiring a proprietary cable set or brand-specific firmware.
Group addressing via onboard LCD: each LMA-14G is assigned its own group ID, giving the Hydro-X Pro or Plus controller distinct scheduling and dimming lanes per adapter. This is the core differentiator from the standard LMA-14, which does not provide independent group assignments.
Pigtail wiring connects the adapter directly to your light drivers — no breakout box or additional cable set required. The RJ12 port on the controller side gives a secure, indexed connection that won't back out during normal facility operation. The adapter operates across a working environment of 32–122°F (0–50°C) at up to 90% relative humidity, appropriate for the temperature and humidity swings inside a commercial grow environment.
One LMA-14G controls one group of lights. For facilities with multiple zones, deploy one adapter per zone and address each through the LCD. This modular architecture scales cleanly as a facility adds canopy or restructures room layout.
In a typical commercial deployment, the LMA-14G installs between the TrolMaster Hydro-X Pro or Hydro-X Plus controller (via RJ12 cable) and the 0-10V dimming leads on your fixture drivers. The controller treats each LMA-14G as a separately addressable lighting group, which maps cleanly to a room, a bench run, or a cultivation stage. If the controller's native lighting ports are already occupied, TrolMaster's SPH-1 Splitter Hub can expand available RJ12 connections to accommodate additional adapters.
For facilities standardizing on TrolMaster automation — environmental monitoring, fertigation, CO2, and lighting all on one platform — the LMA-14G is the component that ensures your lighting zones aren't forced onto a one-size-fits-all schedule. Properly spec'd, it eliminates the need for separate standalone timers or secondary dimmer controllers for each zone, reducing both hardware count and the number of failure points in your lighting control chain.

Both adapters use the 0-10V protocol to connect TrolMaster controllers to compatible lighting fixtures. The LMA-14 manages lights on a shared channel without independent group assignments. The LMA-14G adds an LCD interface for assigning a unique schedule group to each adapter, enabling zone-by-zone photoperiod and dimming control under a single Hydro-X Pro or Hydro-X Plus controller. If you only need one lighting schedule for a single room, the LMA-14 is sufficient. If you need different schedules across multiple zones, you need the LMA-14G.
The LMA-14G is designed for use with the TrolMaster Hydro-X Pro (HCS-2) and Hydro-X Plus (HCS-3) controllers. These are the controllers that support group-level lighting schedule assignment. It is not the intended pairing for the base Hydro-X (HCS-1).
Each LMA-14G controls one group of lights — TrolMaster's architecture is one adapter per lighting zone or group. The number of individual fixtures within that group depends on the fixture type and driver specifications. For larger facilities with multiple zones, one LMA-14G is required per zone.
The LMA-14G is designed for most horticultural lighting fixtures that accept a standard 2-wire 0-10V dimming input. This covers a broad range of commercial LED drivers and 0-10V-compatible HID ballasts. Verify your specific fixture's control input spec before ordering — if the driver accepts a 0-10V analog dimming signal, the LMA-14G is the appropriate adapter.
The LMA-14G connects to your TrolMaster controller via a standard RJ12 cable (the same indexed cable used throughout the TrolMaster ecosystem) and to your fixture drivers via pigtail wiring. No proprietary cable set or additional breakout box is required for a basic single-zone install. If you need to run multiple LMA-14G adapters from the same controller and the controller's lighting ports are occupied, TrolMaster's SPH-1 Splitter Hub provides additional RJ12 output connections.
