What It Is

The Faven 6-Inch Jumper Cord is a short interconnect cable designed exclusively for Faven under-canopy LED bar systems — the R6, R8, and Chroma lines. It bridges the link between two fixtures whose ends sit close enough together that a longer cord would create a loop of excess wiring you'd otherwise have to secure or stuff out of the way.

Faven's jumper cord family comes in four lengths — 6 inches, 3 feet, 9 feet, and 20 feet — each matched to a specific gap scenario. The 6-inch version is for the tightest case: bars on the same bench row whose end-connectors nearly meet. The IP66-rated waterproof connectors on both ends lock in cleanly and are rated for direct irrigation contact, making them safe across any wet or humid grow environment.

This cord is sold separately from the fixtures themselves. Each bench requires at least one power cord; jumper cords handle the bar-to-bar links within the daisy chain. A single circuit supports up to 20 Faven bars chained together.

Who Should Be Ordering These

If you're building or retrofitting a bench-based under-canopy system with Faven R6 or R8 bars and your fixtures are placed directly beside each other in the same row — no gap, just connector-to-connector — the 6-inch cord eliminates the cable management problem that longer cords create in that scenario.

Commercial operators running multi-row bench configurations are the primary use case: tight rows where every inch of bench space is occupied and cord clutter is both a pest harborage risk and an inspection issue. The 6-inch cord keeps wiring flat against the fixture body rather than looping down into the canopy.

This cord is also the right call when you're finishing out a mixed-length setup and have one or two fixture pairs that sit close enough not to need the 3-foot version. Ordering the shortest cord that fits the gap is cleaner and reduces failure points in the chain.

Key Technical Details

Faven's interconnect connectors carry both power and the 0-10V dimming signal through a single waterproof plug, which is why these cables are not interchangeable with other brands or generic extension cords. The connector is proprietary to the Faven fixture line — R6, R8, and Chroma bars all share the same connector format, making this cord compatible across all three.

The IP66 waterproof rating on each connector end means the cord can handle direct water exposure — IPM sprays, overhead misting, and commercial washdowns won't compromise the connection. This is relevant in any facility where fixtures are cleaned in place or where irrigation overspray is routine.

Faven bars are compatible with TrolMaster and Vivosun dimming controllers via the 0-10V signal carried through the daisy-chain. The jumper cord passes that signal intact across the link, so every bar in the chain responds to controller commands uniformly — no bars dropping out of the dimming circuit because of the interconnect.

How It Fits Into a Bench Build

Faven's bench wiring logic is straightforward: each bench row needs one power cord at the head of the chain, and every subsequent bar-to-bar link in that row needs a jumper cord. The length of jumper you choose depends entirely on the physical gap between fixture ends. When bars are touching or nearly touching — common in tight bench configurations where you're maximizing fixture density — the 6-inch cord is the right choice.

A typical bench layout example: 240V supply, 6 bars per row, 2 rows on a bench, 12 bars total. That build needs one 240V power cord and one jumper cord per bench to bridge the two rows. If both rows have their bar ends close together at the midpoint, the 6-inch cord handles the inter-row connection cleanly.
