Faven Jumper Cords 3 Feet

3-foot inter-fixture jumper for Faven R6 / R8 daisy-chain runs across adjacent bench rows.

The Faven 3 ft Jumper Cord (SKU 10-010704-173) bridges two adjacent under canopy fixture rows that cannot connect directly end-to-end, extending your daisy-chain run across the bench without adding a second power cord. Compatible exclusively with Faven R6, R8, and R8 FR under canopy LED fixtures.

What It Is

The Faven 3 ft Jumper Cord is a short inter-fixture extension cable built specifically for the Faven R-Series under canopy LED system (R6, R8, and R8 FR). Its function is straightforward: when two rows or adjacent fixtures on a bench cannot connect directly to each other due to spacing, this cord bridges the gap and keeps the daisy chain intact under a single power cord.

It is not a power cord — each bench still requires at least one dedicated Faven power cord (120V, 240V, or 277V) at the head of the chain. The jumper cord handles fixture-to-fixture connectivity within that chain. Available in three lengths — 3 ft, 9 ft, and 20 ft — the 3 ft variant is the go-to for tight bench geometries where adjacent rows sit close together and long cable runs would create slack and snagging hazards.

Who Needs It and When

Any commercial or licensed operator running Faven R-Series bars across a multi-row bench layout will encounter at least one gap that the short fixture-to-fixture connector cannot span on its own. The 3 ft cord is designed for exactly that situation: two rows of bars on the same bench, positioned side by side, where the last fixture in row one and the first fixture in row two are separated by a few feet.

If your bench runs 240V with 6 fixtures per row across 2 rows (12 fixtures total), a single 240V power cord plus one jumper cord covers the entire bench. Move to 3 rows at 8 fixtures per row (24 total) and you will need two power cords plus one jumper. Knowing the voltage-rated daisy-chain limits — 10 fixtures at 120V, 17 at 240V, and 20 at 277V — determines how many power cords your layout requires and where jumpers fit in. This cord is not compatible with the Faven Chroma series; it is rated for R6, R8, and R8 FR fixtures only.

Key Features

At 3 feet, this cord is purposely short to keep installations tidy. Excess cable in active grow rooms creates trip and snagging hazards — especially in high-traffic harvest or IPM walkways between benches. Running the correct length for the actual bench gap eliminates that risk.

The connectors are waterproof, matching the IP66-rated connectors found on the Faven R6 and R8 fixtures themselves. Under canopy positions are directly exposed to irrigation overspray and condensate that overhead fixtures never see — waterproof connections throughout the chain matter. The cord maintains stable current flow and the communication signal that allows the entire daisy-chained row to respond to controller inputs from a single Faven Mini Controller or compatible 0–10V dimming system.

How It Fits Your Build

Plan your cord needs at the same time you plan your fixture count. Convert your bench length to inches and divide by 46 inches to determine how many R-Series bars fit per row. From there, map your row count against the voltage-rated chain maximums to know how many power cords you need. Every transition between rows that cannot be bridged by a direct fixture connection requires one jumper — and matching that jumper length to the actual physical gap (3 ft, 9 ft, or 20 ft) keeps the installation clean.

HSC supplies the full Faven R-Series accessory line nationwide, including jumper cords in all three lengths, power cords in 120V / 240V / 277V configurations, couplings, and adjustable stands. Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the Faven jumper cord and the Faven power cord?

The power cord (10 ft, available in 120V, 240V, or 277V) connects the first fixture in a daisy chain to your facility's electrical supply and includes a dimming wire for controller integration. The jumper cord is a fixture-to-fixture extension used within the chain — it does not connect to a wall outlet or panel. Every bench needs at least one power cord; jumper cords are added as needed to bridge rows that cannot connect directly.

How do I know whether I need the 3 ft, 9 ft, or 20 ft jumper?

Match the cord length to the physical gap between the last fixture in one row and the first fixture in the next row on your bench. For tightly spaced adjacent rows, the 3 ft cord keeps the run clean and eliminates cable slack. Wider gaps between rows or benches call for the 9 ft or 20 ft versions. Running the wrong length introduces excess cable that can snag in high-traffic grow room aisles.

How many fixtures can I daisy chain before I need a second power cord?

The Faven R-Series supports up to 10 fixtures per circuit at 120V, 17 at 240V, and 20 at 277V. If your bench exceeds those fixture counts, you will need a second power cord to start a separate daisy chain on an additional circuit. A jumper cord alone cannot extend a chain past the voltage-rated maximum.

Is this cord compatible with the Faven Chroma series?

No. The 3 ft jumper cord (SKU 10-010704-173) is compatible exclusively with Faven R6, R8, and R8 FR under canopy fixtures. The Chroma series uses a different communication and power interface and requires its own dedicated accessory cables.

Can I order jumper cords in bulk for a multi-bench commercial facility?

Yes. HSC supplies the full Faven accessory line nationally. If you are building out multiple benches or expanding an existing footprint, contact HSC for a layout review and a consolidated quote on fixtures, power cords, and jumper cords across all three length options.
