Span adjacent bench rows in your Faven under-canopy layout — up to 20 feet between fixtures.
The Faven 20-Foot Jumper Cord (SKU 10-010704-287) is the long-reach extension cable for linking Faven under-canopy LED bars that do not directly connect to one another — the primary solution for bridging two adjacent rows of lights on a single bench.
The Faven Jumper Cord is a proprietary extension cable engineered exclusively for the Faven under-canopy LED lighting ecosystem — including the R6, R8, R8 FR, and Chroma series bars. It is not a universal grow-light cable; the connectors are specific to Faven fixtures and cannot be used across other brands or product lines.
Where fixtures are close enough, Faven bars connect directly to one another without a cord. The jumper cord exists for situations where that direct connection isn't possible — most commonly when two rows of bars run the length of a bench and must be linked end-to-end across a gap. At 20 feet, this is the longest of the three available jumper lengths (3 ft, 9 ft, and 20 ft) and is the right pick when row-to-row or bench-to-bench spacing exceeds what the 9-foot cord can reach.
In a standard multi-bench under-canopy build, each bench requires at least one dedicated power cord. From there, a single jumper cable can extend connectivity across rows — but only up to the maximum daisy-chain count supported by your voltage and fixture count. At 240V, one power cord and one extension cord per bench covers configurations like 6 lights per row across 2 rows (12 lights total). Exceed the max daisy-chain count and you'll need a second power cord rather than a longer jumper.
The 20-foot cord is specifically suited to wider bench configurations, aisle crossings, or rooms where row ends are further apart than a 9-foot cord can bridge. If you're wiring a multi-row bench where the two rows run parallel and their far ends are the daisy-chain connection point, the 20-foot length gives you the slack to route cleanly without pulling tension on connectors. It also provides flexibility when benches are repositioned or the layout changes between runs.
The Faven under-canopy connector system carries an IP66 waterproof rating, meaning the junction points are sealed against dust ingress and direct water jets — a relevant spec in any commercial facility running overhead irrigation or fertigation systems across the same bench footprint where under-canopy bars are installed. The jumper cord is built with flexible, heavy-duty insulated construction designed to withstand the humidity, temperature fluctuation, and repeated repositioning that's routine in a production environment.
Because the cord terminates in Faven's proprietary connector on each end, installation is plug-and-play within the Faven ecosystem — no wiring, no adapters, no modifications required. Route the cord, seat the connectors, and the daisy chain is complete.
Correctly sizing jumper cords and power cords before installation prevents having to re-run wiring after fixtures are mounted. The general framework: convert your bench length in inches and divide by 46 inches (the length of a standard Faven bar) to determine how many lights fit per row. Each bench needs at least one power cord. If your row layout requires linking two non-adjacent rows, add one jumper cord per bench — 20-foot for wide spans, 9-foot for standard configurations, 3-foot when rows are tightly adjacent.
If your total fixture count exceeds the maximum daisy-chain limit for your voltage, plan for a second power cord per bench rather than attempting to extend the daisy chain beyond its rated capacity. One jumper cord per bench is typically sufficient when you're connecting two rows that don't directly link at their ends. Each bench requires at least one power cord; the jumper cord extends connectivity between those rows. If your total light count exceeds the maximum daisy-chain limit, you'll need a second power cord rather than an additional jumper.
Use the 20-foot cord when the gap between the two fixture connection points exceeds what a 9-foot cord can reach — typically on wider benches, across aisles, or in room layouts where rows are further apart. The 3-foot cord is for tightly adjacent rows; the 9-foot covers most standard bench widths. When in doubt, measure the gap between the last fixture of one row and the first fixture of the adjacent row.
No. The Faven jumper cord uses proprietary connectors engineered exclusively for Faven under-canopy fixtures (R6, R8, R8 FR, and Chroma series). It is not cross-compatible with other manufacturers' under-canopy lighting systems.
Yes. The Faven connector system is rated IP66, which means it is sealed against dust ingress and protected against high-pressure water jets from any direction. It is designed to operate safely in the wet, humid environments typical of commercial cannabis and hemp cultivation rooms running active irrigation.
Plan for one jumper cord per bench where two non-adjacent rows need to be linked. If you're building out 10 benches each with two rows, you'd typically need 10 jumper cords.
