The Faven Chroma power cord is not a generic power cable. Unlike the R-series cords used with R6 and R8 fixtures, the Chroma cord carries both 240V AC power and Faven's proprietary digital communication protocol simultaneously. That communication bus is what allows your controller — whether a Faven CX2, GrowFlux, an approved RS485 adapter, or a 0–10V system — to reach every fixture in a daisy-chain and deliver spectrum commands, dimming levels, and far-red scheduling in real time.
Without the correct OEM Chroma power cord, your fixtures receive power but the control signal cannot pass through. Faven also specifies use of OEM control wiring as a condition of the Chroma fixture warranty — aftermarket or R-series cords are not interchangeable. One cord is required per daisy-chain (i.e., per bench or per circuit run); Chroma jumper cables then bridge fixture-to-fixture connections within the chain.
This SKU ships as a complete starting-point kit for a single 240V Chroma daisy-chain. This cord is rated for 240V only. The 120V and 277V Chroma variants are separate SKUs — the 277V Chroma cord uses a NEMA L7 twist-lock connector for code-compliant connections in commercial infrastructure running that voltage. Verify your facility's panel voltage before ordering. This cord is not compatible with Faven R6, R8, or R8 FR base-model fixtures; those require the R-series power cord bundle.
