What's in the Bundle

Each SKU 10-010503-002 bundle ships with three components: a 10 ft (3M) 240V power cord with an integrated surge protection device (SPD), an IP66-rated end cap for sealing the open port at the end of your daisy chain, and a single-end 10 ft / 3M communication cable that carries the low-voltage dimming signal. The dimming wire connects to Faven's Mini Controller or a compatible 0-10V control platform, enabling intensity adjustment across every fixture in the run without additional wiring. Nothing in the bundle is shared with the 120V or 277V cord SKUs — the 240V cord is wired and terminated specifically for 240V circuits.

The integrated SPD is the key differentiator between this bundle and Faven's standard power cord. The surge protection device clamps transient voltage events before they reach fixture electronics — a meaningful protection layer in commercial facilities where utility-side switching events, motor loads, or HVAC compressors can introduce spikes on shared circuits. For licensed cultivation operators running dozens of fixtures across a single room, protecting that investment at the power entry point is standard practice, not an optional upgrade.

Installation Context: Daisy-Chain Architecture

Faven R6 and R8 bars connect end-to-end in a daisy-chain configuration. Each bench or chain requires exactly one power cord at the head — this 240V cord is that entry point. At 240V, a single power cord supports up to 17 fixtures before you need to split into a second chain on a separate circuit. For reference: a typical layout of 8 bars per row across 2 rows (16 fixtures total) runs comfortably on one 240V cord. Expand to 3 rows of 8 (24 fixtures) and you'll need two 240V cords, each heading its own daisy chain.

The included communication cable passes the 0-10V dimming signal through the chain. Faven fixtures are compatible with TrolMaster, Vivosun, Growlink, GrowFlux, Argus, Agritek, and other standard 0-10V control platforms, allowing cultivators to tie under-canopy dimming into the same automation stack running overhead fixtures. Minimum dimming depth is 35–40% of full intensity. The IP66-rated end cap seals the final open connector on the last bar in the run, maintaining the ingress-protection rating of the entire installation.

Fixture Compatibility and Spectrum Context

This cord is compatible exclusively with the Faven R Series — specifically the R6 and R8 under-canopy light bars. It is not compatible with the Faven Chroma series. The R6 runs a 60% red spectrum designed to complement HID (HPS) top-light rooms, adding full-spectrum balance to offset the red-orange-yellow bias of HPS. The R8 runs an 80% red spectrum designed for LED top-light rooms, mixed-light rooms, and greenhouses, pushing deeper red into the lower canopy where overhead LED fixtures already provide broad-spectrum coverage above.

Both fixtures are 120W, 46-inch bars rated at 340 µmol/s PPF and 2.9 µmol/J PPE. The power cord SKU is voltage-specific — confirm your facility runs 240V circuits before ordering this variant. If your facility uses 120V or 277V distribution, Faven offers separate cord SKUs for each voltage. The 277V variant uses a NEMA L7 twist-lock connector; the 240V and 120V variants use standard configurations for their respective voltages.

Who Needs This Cord

Any licensed cannabis or hemp operator commissioning Faven R6 or R8 fixtures on 240V circuits needs this cord — one per bench, or one per daisy-chain run if a bench exceeds the 17-fixture maximum. Operators purchasing Faven fixture packs that do not include a power cord, adding rows to an existing installation, or replacing a damaged cord should spec this SKU. The SPD version is the preferred choice for any commercial facility where grid power quality is variable, where the fixture installation shares circuits with inductive loads (pumps, fans, HVAC), or where the operator wants a documented transient protection layer at the fixture level.
