The Faven 0-10V to RS485 Converter translates an analog 0-10V dimming signal into Faven's RS485 digital protocol, letting you integrate Faven Chroma fixtures into facilities already running TrolMaster, Argus, Priva, or any other 0-10V-output control system. Screw terminal connections and a DC 12V power input make wiring straightforward at the zone level.
Faven's Chroma under-canopy fixtures communicate over RS485 — a digital, multi-drop protocol that supports intensity, spectrum, and far-red channel control. Most established facility controllers (TrolMaster Hydro-X, Argus Titan, Priva, and similar BMS/HVAC-integrated systems) output analog 0-10V dimming signals, not RS485. Without a translator between the two, those controllers can't talk to Chroma fixtures at all.
The Faven 0-10V to RS485 Converter sits in-line between your existing controller's analog output and the Faven RS485 bus. It reads the incoming 0-10V voltage level and translates it in real time to the corresponding RS485 command on Faven's protocol, so your existing dimming schedules, ramp curves, and photoperiod programs continue to work — the fixtures just execute them over RS485.

Zones tied to a single converter will move together; intensity, spectrum, and far-red channel adjustments cannot be differentiated within a single converter's downstream RS485 bus.

In a typical commercial deployment, the per-zone converter count maps directly to your lighting zone count — not your fixture count. A 10-zone flowering room running Faven Chroma bars needs 10 converters, regardless of how many fixtures are on each zone's RS485 bus. Budget for one converter per zone in your Bill of Materials and factor in the DC 12V power supply requirement for each unit.

Yes. Any controller that outputs a standard 0-10V analog dimming signal can drive this converter. That includes TrolMaster Hydro-X Pro, Argus, Priva, and most other facility environmental controllers with a 0-10V lighting output. The converter translates that analog signal to Faven's RS485 protocol so the downstream Chroma fixtures respond correctly.
One converter per independent lighting zone. The number of fixtures on a zone does not change the converter count — a zone with 20 Chroma bars still needs one converter. If you need different zones to dim independently (different intensities, spectrums, or schedules), each of those zones requires its own converter box.

The 0-10V to RS485 Converter is designed for Faven fixtures that operate on the RS485 protocol — primarily the Chroma line. Faven R-Series fixtures (R6, R8) use standard 0-10V input natively and do not require this converter. If you are running R-Series bars, they connect directly to your 0-10V controller without any adapter.
