The Growlink ClimaLINK uses an aspirated housing — a small internal fan actively draws air across the temperature, humidity, and VPD sensors to eliminate the heat-buildup and stagnant-air errors that plague passive sensor housings. That active airflow is what lets the ClimaLINK hit ±0.18°F (±0.1°C) temperature accuracy and ±1.0% RH in a live grow room environment.
The aspiration filter is the first line of defense in that airflow path. It allows continuous air movement across the sensor elements while blocking dust, trichome particulate, fertilizer salt aerosols, and condensation droplets that would otherwise coat the sensing elements and cause readings to drift. When the filter becomes loaded — whether from months of heavy defoliation work, a high-particulate propagation environment, or normal accumulation in a high-canopy-density room — sensor accuracy degrades before any visible sign of fouling is present.
