What These Filters Do

The Growlink ClimaLINK uses an aspirated housing — a small internal fan actively draws air across the temperature, humidity, and VPD sensors to eliminate the heat-buildup and stagnant-air errors that plague passive sensor housings. That active airflow is what lets the ClimaLINK hit ±0.18°F (±0.1°C) temperature accuracy and ±1.0% RH in a live grow room environment.

The aspiration filter is the first line of defense in that airflow path. It allows continuous air movement across the sensor elements while blocking dust, trichome particulate, fertilizer salt aerosols, and condensation droplets that would otherwise coat the sensing elements and cause readings to drift. When the filter becomes loaded — whether from months of heavy defoliation work, a high-particulate propagation environment, or normal accumulation in a high-canopy-density room — sensor accuracy degrades before any visible sign of fouling is present. Swapping to a fresh filter is the lowest-cost, highest-return maintenance action on the device.

Who Needs Them and When

Any licensed cannabis or hemp operation running ClimaLINK sensors as part of a Growlink LINKS or Growlink OS deployment should keep a supply of replacement filters on hand. Facilities running multiple rooms, multi-tier vertical canopies, or high-plant-density layouts generate more airborne particulate than lower-density configurations, and filter service intervals will be shorter in those environments.

Growlink recommends periodic filter replacement as part of routine sensor maintenance. Practical triggers include: a noticeable divergence between two co-located sensors that previously tracked closely, any unexplained shift in logged temperature or RH baselines, or post-harvest deep-clean cycles. At two filters per pack, this SKU covers one sensor for two service cycles — or two sensors for one service cycle — keeping spares on the shelf without over-ordering.

Fit, Compatibility, and Installation

These are OEM Growlink replacement filters engineered specifically for the ClimaLINK housing. They are not generic aftermarket filters. The ClimaLINK's replaceable filter design was intentional — Growlink built the housing so that filter swaps are tool-free and take under a minute, making this a routine facility task rather than a service call.

Compatibility spans both ClimaLINK variants: the standard unit (temp, RH, VPD, PAR) and the ClimaLINK w/CO₂ (which adds 0–5,000 ppm CO₂ monitoring). The filters are not compatible with other Growlink sensor types such as the terraLINK substrate sensors or tankLINK probes. If you are uncertain which sensors are deployed in your facility, the Growlink OS device list will identify each node by type and serial number.

How Filter Maintenance Fits Into a Growlink LINKS Operation

In a Growlink LINKS build, each ClimaLINK connects to the canopyLINK or HUB via M8 connector and feeds real-time temp, RH, VPD, PAR, and optional CO₂ data into Growlink OS. That data drives automated HVAC, dehumidifier, humidifier, CO₂, and lighting schedules across every zone. When a sensor drifts from a clogged filter, the automation layer acts on bad data — HVAC runtimes shift, VPD targets miss, and the crop sees the difference before the dashboard does.
