The Growlink Climalink (GL-LINK-CLIMATE) is a commercial-grade aspirated climate sensor that delivers real-time temperature, humidity, VPD, light-level, and optional CO₂ data at the canopy, feeding directly into Growlink OS for automated climate control across single or multi-room facilities.
The Climalink monitors five environmental parameters simultaneously: air temperature, relative humidity, vapor pressure deficit (VPD), canopy-level light (lux), and — in the CO₂ variant — ambient CO₂ concentration. VPD is calculated automatically on-device from the live temperature and humidity readings, so you get a derived value that actually tracks transpiration pressure rather than relying on manual lookup tables or secondary software.
Temperature range spans -40 °F to 257 °F (-40 °C to 125 °C) with an accuracy of ±0.18 °F (±0.1 °C). Humidity covers 0–100% RH at ±1.0% RH accuracy. The optional CO₂ module reads 0–5,000 ppm at ±3% accuracy and is pressure-compensated, which matters if your facility sits at elevation. The built-in PAR/lux sensor gives you a canopy-level light verification point without a separate meter — useful for confirming uniformity zone to zone.
Passive sensors sitting inside a sealed housing are reading the air pocket trapped around the element, not the actual room air — and in a high-HVAC, high-light commercial grow, the difference between stagnant air and moving air at the canopy can be several degrees Fahrenheit and multiple RH percentage points. The Climalink solves this with an active aspiration system: a small internal fan continuously draws ambient air across the sensing elements so readings reflect actual canopy conditions, not the microclimate inside the housing.
The housing also incorporates specialized filter media for dust and moisture protection, which is critical in environments running CO₂ enrichment, heavy irrigation, or high transpiration loads. Easy-swap filter packs are available to keep readings accurate over the life of the sensor. For facilities where regulatory compliance or internal SOPs require documented environmental data, sensor drift from contamination is a real audit risk — the filter system is a direct answer to that.
The Climalink is purpose-built for the Growlink LINKS ecosystem. It connects to the canopyLINK hub or the Growlink HUB directly, delivering live data into Growlink OS for centralized logging, threshold-based alerts, and automation triggers. If your VPD climbs above target, OS can automatically signal your HVAC, dehumidifier, or humidifier — no manual intervention. One climaLINK sensor per climate zone is the standard deployment; the canopyLINK hub supports up to eight LINKS devices total.
For operations already running Growlink controllers — whether precision irrigation PICs or the full LINKS stack — the Climalink plugs into the same SDI-12 architecture. Up to four Climalinks can be connected to a standalone ESP Precision Irrigation Controller simultaneously, making it practical to cover multiple zones or bench rows from a single controller without adding a separate data logger. Data is centralized in Growlink OS regardless of how many sensors are in the network.

Yes. In the Growlink LINKS architecture, the Climalink connects through the canopyLINK hub (sold separately), which then feeds data to Growlink OS. For legacy Growlink setups using a Precision Irrigation Controller (ESP PIC with Bluetooth), the sensor wires directly to one of the four SDI-12 inputs on the PIC — up to four Climalinks per standalone PIC controller.
CO₂ is optional and available as a separate variant. The base Climalink covers temperature, humidity, VPD, and light. If CO₂ monitoring is part of your climate control program, specify the CO₂-equipped version when requesting a quote. The CO₂ module reads 0–5,000 ppm at ±3% accuracy and is pressure-compensated for altitude.

Yes. Growlink OS supports sensor-based automation triggers from Climalink data — including temperature, humidity, VPD, and CO₂ thresholds. When a parameter exceeds a defined setpoint, OS can signal connected equipment such as HVAC units, dehumidifiers, humidifiers, CO₂ regulators, or exhaust fans. This closes the loop between monitoring and control without manual intervention.
