What BioFlo Is

Front Row Ag BioFlo is an all-natural bio-enzyme solution formulated specifically to address the two primary causes of irrigation failure in commercial grow facilities: biofilm accumulation and mineral scale. It works through biological and enzymatic action — digesting the organic matrix of biofilm and loosening mineral deposits — rather than relying on oxidizing or caustic chemicals that can damage equipment seals, alter growing media chemistry, or require full system shutdowns.

BioFlo is a liquid concentrate. Mixed to volume and circulated or soaked through your irrigation network, it targets the slime, sludge, and scale that accumulate in lines, drip emitters, manifolds, pumps, trays, reservoirs, and stock tanks. The active ingredients are biologically active and contain no harmful chemicals — the product is documented as 100% safe on plants, animals, and the rootzone, which is the primary reason it can be used mid-cycle without pulling the crop or flushing with fresh water before resuming feeds.

Who Needs It and When

Any facility running drip, NFT, flood-and-drain, or recirculating hydroponic systems will accumulate biofilm over time. Biofilm forms rapidly in cool, moist, nutrient-rich environments — exactly the conditions inside commercial irrigation infrastructure. Nutrient salts in fertilizer solution provide a consistent food source for microbial growth, meaning the more consistent your fertigation program, the more consistently biofilm will attempt to colonize your lines.

BioFlo is the right tool in two scenarios: (1) corrective — lines or emitters are already partially or fully clogged, flow rates are inconsistent across the zone, or reservoirs show visible slime accumulation; and (2) preventative — on a scheduled maintenance cadence of every 2 to 4 weeks or between cycles to prevent biofilm from establishing in the first place. Key Functional Properties

BioFlo's core advantage over chemical alternatives — hydrogen peroxide, bleach-based cleaners, citric acid flushes — is that it is non-destructive to the biological and physical environment downstream. It does not disrupt beneficial microbial populations in the rootzone, does not alter the pH of growing media over time, and does not require a grower to choose between cleaning the system and protecting the crop. It can be circulated through the system and flushed, or soaked and drained, depending on system configuration.

Compatible with injectors, reservoir systems, and tank-based application setups. BioFlo addresses anaerobic zones within irrigation infrastructure — the pockets of stagnation and slime that form in low-flow sections of a drip network and that can undermine the precision of an otherwise well-designed fertigation program. A clean system ensures that the EC and pH dialed in at the tank accurately reflect what reaches each plant site, which is the baseline requirement for any data-driven cultivation program.

How to Integrate BioFlo Into a Commercial Operation

Application is straightforward: mix BioFlo concentrate at approximately 30 mL per gallon of water — enough solution to fill the irrigation lines being treated. Circulate through or allow to soak for 8 to 12 hours, then flush the system. For reservoirs and stock tanks, the same soak-and-flush approach applies. The label should be consulted for situation-specific instructions, as soak time and volume vary by system size and severity of buildup.
