100% soluble 2-8-20 veg feed — no urea, no sediment, stock-tank ready.
Athena Pro Grow is a dry soluble 2-8-20 vegetative fertilizer built for commercial fertigation at scale. Zero urea, zero ammoniacal nitrogen, and a large-grind crystal that dissolves completely — no clogged emitters, no sediment in reservoirs.
Athena Pro Grow is the vegetative-stage component of Athena's Pro Line — a dry, water-soluble concentrate system designed for commercial cultivators running high-volume nutrient tanks. The guaranteed analysis is 2-8-20 (Nitrate-N / Available Phosphate / Soluble Potash), with 3.0% total magnesium, 8.0% sulfur, and 0.1% chelated iron (DTPA). Nitrogen is delivered entirely as nitrate — there is no urea and no ammoniacal nitrogen in the formulation.
The ingredient deck is straightforward: Monopotassium Phosphate, Potassium Nitrate, Potassium Sulfate, Magnesium Sulfate, and Iron DTPA. That short list keeps the recipe clean and the anion/cation balance predictable across water types. Sulfur from the sulfate salts supports secondary metabolite production — relevant for cultivators managing terpene and cannabinoid expression through the vegetative-to-transition window.
Pro Grow is built for large-scale indoor cultivators — licensed cannabis and hemp operators running automated dosing hardware (Dosatron, Netafim/Netaflex, Rhythm, or similar inline injectors) or mixing dedicated stock-tank concentrates that feed batch reservoirs. The dry format delivers a dramatically lower cost-per-gallon compared to liquid two-part programs at equivalent volume, which matters on a 5,000 sq-ft canopy.
The Pro Line as a whole is designed around a constant-EC feeding strategy: the grower sets a target EC and adjusts irrigation frequency rather than recipe strength across the cycle. Pro Grow handles weeks 1–4 of the growth phase; at the flip, it transitions out as Pro Bloom takes over. If your operation is already running EC-based fertigation with weight-based dosing and dedicated stock tanks, Pro Grow integrates without friction. If you're still on a volume-measure liquid program, Athena's Blended Line may be a more appropriate starting point.
Large-grind crystal format: the coarse grind dissolves completely at room temperature with agitation — no heating required, no particulates left in solution. Compatible with all inline dosing systems. Will not clog drip emitters, micro-sprayers, or inline filters.
Nitrogen source integrity: all nitrogen is nitrate-form only. No urea means no hydrolysis lag and no ammonia spike in the root zone. No ammoniacal nitrogen eliminates competition with calcium uptake — a practical advantage in high-density coco and rockwool substrate programs where cation balance is tightly managed.
Low heavy metal content: Athena formulates to low heavy-metal specifications — relevant for licensed cannabis operators in markets where biomass is tested for lead, cadmium, and arsenic. Clean raw-material sourcing reduces risk of contamination working up from the nutrient level.
Stock tank concentrate: Athena recommends mixing Pro Grow at 2 lbs per gallon of water as a working stock concentrate (max 2.5 lbs/gal with vigorous agitation). Dose the concentrate against a target-EC chart alongside Pro Core. Always measure by weight, not volume. Do not pre-combine Pro Grow and Pro Core in dry or concentrate form — mix each separately and add to the batch reservoir in sequence.
Pro Grow is one half of the Pro Line's two-product-per-stage structure. It pairs with Pro Core (14-0-0 calcium-nitrogen-micronutrient base) throughout the vegetative phase. Pro Core runs the full cycle; Pro Grow runs veg, Pro Bloom runs flower. That's two products per stage, two stock tanks, and a single EC number to chase — significantly fewer moving parts than five- to ten-bottle additive-heavy programs.
At the dosing chart level, targeting EC 1.3 in a veg reservoir (Athena's published light-feed target) requires approximately 4.6 ml/L of Pro Core concentrate and 7.6 ml/L of Pro Grow concentrate (both mixed at 240 g/L stock). Target EC 2.0 calls for 6.6 ml/L Core and 11.0 ml/L Grow at the same stock concentration. Dial EC up or down by adjusting concentrate dose or irrigation event frequency — the recipe ratio stays fixed. Pro Balance (pH adjuster) and Cleanse (system flush) are the standard add-ons in the Pro Line program. Athena does not recommend mixing Pro Line products directly into the reservoir at small amounts — always build concentrate first.

No. All nitrogen in Pro Grow is nitrate-form only. There is no urea and no ammoniacal nitrogen in the formulation. This keeps nitrogen immediately plant-available, eliminates ammonia toxicity risk in the root zone, and avoids cation-uptake competition with calcium — important for coco and rockwool substrate programs.
No — it must be used in combination with Athena Pro Core. Pro Grow covers the P/K and Mg/S/Fe fraction; Pro Core provides the calcium, nitrogen baseline, and essential micronutrients. Together they deliver a complete vegetative profile. Neither product is a complete standalone feed.
Athena's standard rate is 2 lbs of Pro Grow per 1 gallon of water, mixed in a dedicated stock tank. Maximum is 2.5 lbs/gal with vigorous agitation. Always measure by weight, not volume. Do not pre-combine Pro Grow and Pro Core as dry powders or in concentrate — keep them in separate stock tanks and add each to the batch reservoir individually.
Yes. The large-grind crystal format dissolves completely at room temperature and leaves zero sediment in solution. It is compatible with all inline dosing hardware including Dosatron, Netaflex (Netafim), and Rhythm injectors, as well as drip, micro-spray, and flood-and-drain irrigation configurations.
Athena's published Pro Line feed schedule runs Pro Grow at a target EC of approximately 0.9 during early veg (weeks 1–4), rising to roughly 1.3 in later veg — always combined with Pro Core dosed at the corresponding rate from Athena's EC/dosage chart. Exact EC targets depend on your substrate, water quality, and facility environment. Refer to Athena's official Pro Line feed schedule and dosage reference guide for chart-based dosing tables.
