What Athena Perafoam Is

Athena Perafoam is a high-foaming liquid concentrate formulated specifically as a surfactant adjuvant for use alongside Athena Reset (a peroxyacetic acid-based EPA-registered sanitizer and disinfectant). On its own, Perafoam is not a disinfectant — its job is to suspend and deliver Reset across hard, non-porous surfaces with far more contact time than conventional spray or wipe methods can achieve.

The foam clings to vertical surfaces — walls, trellis, rack uprights, bench legs, irrigation hardware — holding the active Reset chemistry in place for the dwell period required for effective disinfection. Without a cling adjuvant, PAA-based sanitizers run off vertical surfaces quickly, cutting contact time and reducing efficacy. Perafoam solves that. It is kosher-certified, has a one-year shelf life, is stable in the presence of oxidizers, and performs in hard water without losing foam quality.

Who It's Built For

Perafoam is sized and formulated for commercial-scale licensed cannabis and hemp cultivation facilities running structured between-run sanitation SOPs. If your facility is conducting room resets after each harvest cycle — foaming floors, walls, growing surfaces, and irrigation infrastructure before the next crop goes in — this is the format that makes sense.

It ships freight-only to licensed commercial growers and dealers across the United States. The 5-gallon container (CL-PER-5G) is the standard facility-scale format. A 55-gallon drum is also available for high-frequency, multi-room operations. Single-gallon is available for smaller or lower-frequency operations. Hazmat handling applies — plan accordingly when coordinating delivery with your team.

How It Works in Your Sanitation Protocol

The recommended workflow pairs Perafoam with the Athena Reset Foamer — a purpose-built two-part foaming system with pre-calibrated injection rates for both Perafoam and Reset. The Foamer combines the two chemicals inline, dispenses through a fan-pattern nozzle, and allows wet-to-dry foam consistency adjustment. It uses a standard compressed air source and a 15-gallon onboard water tank. No manual measuring at the foamer — rates are dialed in from the factory.

For facilities using their own foaming equipment: mix Perafoam at 1 fl oz per gallon of water, then add Athena Reset at 1 fl oz per gallon of solution and mix thoroughly before loading into your foam generator. Apply evenly to surfaces and hold for the recommended 30–60 minute dwell time. No rinse is required at recommended dose rates, which simplifies post-foam workflow and reduces water use between runs.

Perafoam's surfactant package is stable to oxidizers, meaning it doesn't degrade or react adversely when combined with the oxidizing chemistry in Reset — a real-world consideration when working with PAA formulations. It also dispenses reliably at temperatures as low as 35°F, making it usable in cold-environment facilities or during winter shutdowns.

Where It Fits in the Athena Clean Line

The Athena Clean Line is a product system for between-run hygiene — covering hard surface sanitation (Reset + Perafoam), equipment and line flushing (Renew), and the application hardware (Reset Foamer) to execute a complete room reset SOP.
