What It Is

The Athena Glassware kit (SKU: TC-TOOL) is a purpose-built replacement set for the liquid-handling and workspace components in the Athena Culture Line system. It contains one 250mL mixing vessel, one alcohol spray bottle, two chemical bottles, one working surface, and one alcohol burner — the exact glassware and ancillary tools that see the most wear and handling in a routine tissue culture workflow.

Unlike the consumable media sachets or vessel packs, these are the foundational bench tools that support sterilization, media mixing, and day-to-day contamination control. When a component breaks, gets contaminated beyond recovery, or simply wears out, the TC-TOOL lets you swap only what's needed rather than sourcing individual lab supplies from separate vendors or purchasing the full Culture Kit again.

Where It Fits in the Culture Line System

The Athena Culture Line was developed in collaboration with Jungle Boys and is built around a portable, self-contained tissue culture workflow: a flow hood with H13 HEPA filtration, a one-touch autoclave, pre-formulated Roots and Shoots media, and an integrated toolbox designed to produce up to 120 culture vessels per media run. The TC-TOOL glassware set is a direct replacement for the glass and liquid-handling components housed inside that toolbox.

Athena structures the Culture Line as a refillable, ongoing system — media sachets, culture vessels, scalpel blades, and glassware are each available as standalone refills so operators don't have to repurchase the full TC-KIT when individual components are depleted or damaged. The TC-TOOL is the glassware leg of that refill ecosystem.

If your facility is already running Athena's tissue culture protocol — preserving cultivars, executing meristem work to address hop latent viroid (HLV) exposure, or banking genetics between production cycles — the TC-TOOL is the correct replacement part for the bench glassware.
