What the Athena Blended Line Is

The Athena Blended Line is a two-part liquid nutrient system built around sequential base fertilizers — Grow A+B for the vegetative phase, Bloom A+B for flower — with a set of standalone additives that layer in according to stage. Grow A+B carries a vegetative NPK of 4-0-1 (Part A) and 1-3-5 (Part B). Bloom A+B transitions in at the flip with a flowering NPK of 4-0-5 (Part A) and 0.7-6-5 (Part B). The two bases are not run simultaneously — Bloom replaces Grow at the flip entirely.

The additive stack is what gives the system its flexibility. CaMg (NPK 2-0-0) supplements calcium, magnesium, iron, and nitrogen throughout both stages, particularly useful in RO-water environments or inert media like coco and rockwool. Balance (NPK 0-0-2), a potassium silicate-based formula, buffers irrigation water pH and stabilizes the mineral environment before mixing. PK (NPK 0-4-5) is a low-nitrogen bloom booster that layers in during mid-to-late flower, weeks 3 through finish, to support phosphorus and potassium demand at peak production. Cleanse — a hypochlorous acid-based irrigation cleaner — clears mineral salt accumulation from media and lines during the final one to two weeks pre-harvest.

Who This Kit Is For

The Starter Kit is the practical entry point for licensed commercial and craft cannabis operators who want to evaluate the Blended Line on a real crop cycle before committing to gallon, drum, or tote volumes. Running 32 oz bottles across a full cycle gives a cultivation manager accurate per-gallon consumption data and lets the team dial the feed chart to their specific water profile, media, strain, and EC targets before placing a larger purchase order.

It is also the right format for operators already running a competing two-part liquid who want a clean side-by-side comparison run. The kit's mineral-only, sediment-free formulation is directly compatible with existing Dosatron units, peristaltic dosing pumps, venturis, drip irrigation, and hand-watering — no equipment changes required for a trial run. Facilities on reverse osmosis water, or growing in coco or rockwool, benefit most from the CaMg and Balance components included in the kit.

Key Formulation Characteristics

Every product in the Blended Line is a mineral-only liquid formula with no organic material or sediment. The 100% water-soluble chemistry means it will not clog venturis, dosers, or fine dripper heads in automated fertigation systems. This matters operationally: nutrient buildups in drip emitters and irrigation lines are a maintenance and consistency liability at scale — the Blended Line eliminates that variable.

The two-part A+B structure requires A and B to be added separately to the reservoir — never combined in undiluted form. Equal volumes of A and B are used in each feeding. Grow A+B dose rate runs 2–5 mL per gallon during vegetative growth; Bloom A+B runs 2–7 mL per gallon in flower, EC-adjusted to the cultivar and growth stage. CaMg doses at 2–10 mL per gallon across all stages as needed. PK layers in at 3–10 mL per gallon starting around week 3 of flower. The mineral ratios across the system are calibrated to maintain elemental balance — the PK booster, for instance, is intentionally low-nitrogen to avoid disrupting calcium and magnesium availability during flowering when growers typically push additional phosphorus and potassium.

Store sealed between 45°F and 85°F. The concentrated formulas are designed for dilution — 32 oz bottles provide meaningful cycle coverage before the operation needs to move to larger format volumes.

How the Blended Line Fits a Commercial Build

The Blended Line sits in the mid-complexity tier of commercial nutrient programs. It is more configurable than a single-part or three-part liquid system — the separation of CaMg and PK from the base formulas lets cultivation teams adjust elemental delivery independently for different cultivars, water quality, or canopy stages without reformulating the entire tank mix. It is less labor-intensive than a dry powder Pro Line program, and the liquid format integrates directly with most automated dosing infrastructure already in commercial facilities.

For facilities scaling from a smaller footprint to larger canopy, the Starter Kit gives the grow team real consumption data from a full cycle before procurement commits to volume pricing on gallons or drums. HSC carries the Athena Blended Line across all formats and can coordinate quantities to match your facility's cycle cadence. Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the Athena Blended Line Starter Kit (LQ-TRIAL-32)?

The kit contains eight 32 oz bottles: Grow A, Grow B, Bloom A, Bloom B, PK, CaMg, Balance, and Cleanse. That covers every product needed to run a full vegetative and flowering cycle on the Blended Line feed chart.

How is the Blended Line different from the Athena Pro Line?

The Blended Line is a liquid two-part system (Grow A+B / Bloom A+B) with liquid additives. The Pro Line is a dry powder-based system marketed primarily toward large-scale commercial operations. The Blended Line's liquid format integrates directly with most existing fertigation and dosing equipment without additional dissolution steps.

Do I run Grow A+B and Bloom A+B at the same time during transition?

No. Bloom A+B fully replaces Grow A+B at the flip to flowering — they are sequential, not simultaneous. Running both past the flip over-delivers nitrogen at the exact stage when the plant's demand shifts toward phosphorus and potassium for bud development. Some growers blend a transition feed in week 1 of flower only, then switch fully to Bloom.

Is the Blended Line compatible with automated irrigation and dosing systems?

Yes. The mineral-only, 100% soluble formula contains no organic material or sediment. It is compatible with Dosatron units, peristaltic pumps, venturis, and fine dripper heads without risk of clogging. Parts A and B must be added to the reservoir separately — never combined undiluted.

When should I add CaMg, and is it required in all grows?

CaMg can be dosed at 2–10 mL per gallon across all growth stages as needed. It is most critical for facilities running reverse osmosis water or growing in inert media like coco coir or rockwool, where the base A+B formulas may not fully meet calcium and magnesium demand under heavy growth. The Starter Kit includes one 32 oz bottle to cover a full trial cycle.

How do I scale from the Starter Kit to production volumes?

The 32 oz Starter Kit is sized for a full trial cycle. Once your team has real per-gallon consumption data from the trial, HSC can quote gallons, drums, or totes of each component to match your facility's cycle cadence and canopy volume.
