275-gal IBC tote of Athena's liquid two-part veg base — sediment-free, system-safe, EC-scalable.
Athena Blended Grow A (4-0-1) is the calcium-and-nitrogen half of Athena's two-part liquid vegetative base. Always run in equal parts with Grow B — the pair delivers balanced macro and chelated micro nutrition through veg without sediment, buildup, or line clogs.
Athena Blended Grow A is a liquid mineral concentrate formulated for the vegetative stage of growth. NPK is 4-0-1. The guaranteed analysis carries 4.0% total nitrogen (3.8% nitrate, with ammoniacal nitrogen also present), 1.0% soluble potash, 4.2% calcium, 0.19% magnesium, and chelated micronutrients including iron (Fe 0.06% chelated), manganese (Mn 0.013% chelated), zinc, boron, and molybdate — delivered via calcium ammonium nitrate, potassium nitrate, Iron EDTA, Iron EDDHA, Zinc EDTA, Manganese EDTA, sodium molybdate, boric acid, and magnesium nitrate.
Grow A is Part 1 of the Athena Blended Grow pair. It holds the calcium and nitrogen fraction separate from the phosphate and sulfate fraction in Grow B — standard two-part chemistry that prevents precipitation in concentrate form. Always mix A and B in equal volumes into your final solution; never combine them undiluted.
The Blended Line is Athena's liquid program — no dry salts to weigh or dissolve, no mixing ratios by weight. It fits operations that want a clean, repeatable veg feed without transitioning to the Pro Line dry concentrates. Multi-room indoor facilities, greenhouse producers, and coco or rockwool grows running automated Dosatron injection or drip manifolds are the core use case.
The 275-gallon IBC tote SKU (LQB-GWA-275G) is sized for commercial throughput. At a working dose of 2–15 mL per gallon, a 275-gallon tote represents a substantial run of stock-tank fills across a veg room or propagation bay. Operations that go through 1-gallon jugs every few weeks should evaluate the tote format for cost-per-gallon efficiency and reduced reorder frequency.
The formula is compatible with rockwool, coco coir, recirculating DWC, soilless/peat media, and soil — and Athena confirms compatibility with fine dripper heads, making it safe to run through Netafim, Floraflex, Topspins, and similar precision emitters without clogging concerns.
Sediment-free formulation: Athena rates Grow A as compatible with all dosing and irrigation systems including fine dripper heads. Occasional micro-particles may be visible under some conditions but do not affect mineral balance or system compatibility. Shake well before use and use clean measuring instruments — do not introduce anything into the container.
Dose range of 2–15 mL per gallon provides significant flexibility — seedlings and early veg run at the low end; vigorous mid-to-late veg can be pushed higher while monitoring EC. Athena recommends EC-based monitoring rather than fixed dose: check EC regularly and adjust by crop stage. Set pH after mixing all nutrients and additives, not before.
Storage: keep sealed in original packaging at 45°F–85°F. Do not mix A and B in undiluted or concentrate form. Always dilute each part into your water volume before the other is added, or use a proportional injector that introduces both parts simultaneously into a flowing water stream.
Athena's Blended Line is a two-product-per-stage structure: Grow A+B through veg, then Bloom A+B through flower. That simplicity is the program's core value — operators replace a five- to ten-bottle additive-heavy program with two bottles per phase and EC targets instead of a matrix of product interactions to manage. Consistency batch to batch is Athena's design brief.
At commercial scale the Blended Line pairs cleanly with the rest of the Athena catalog. CaMg addresses calcium-magnesium demand in coco or RO water setups. Balance (potassium silicate) buffers RO source water before nutrients are introduced. Cleanse (hypochlorous acid) keeps drip lines and root zones clean on a weekly cadence. PK and Stack are available as optional flowering-phase additions. None of these extras are required during veg — Grow A+B is a self-contained veg base.
For operations running enough canopy to warrant bulk delivery, Grow A is available in the 275-gallon IBC tote format (this SKU), as well as 1-gallon, 5-gallon, and 55-gallon drum. Contact HSC for current availability and lead times on the tote format — freight arrangements differ from standard parcel.

Always run Grow A and Grow B in equal amounts. The two-part format splits calcium (Part A) from phosphates and sulfates (Part B) to prevent precipitation in concentrate form. Running either part alone produces an incomplete and unbalanced nutrient solution.
Yes. Athena rates the Blended Line as sediment-free and compatible with all dosing and irrigation systems including fine dripper heads — Dosatron, drip manifolds, Floraflex, Topspins, and recirculating systems are all confirmed compatible.
Rockwool, coco coir, recirculating/DWC, soilless and peat-based media, and soil are all supported. For coco or RO-water setups, consider supplementing with CaMg to meet elevated calcium and magnesium demand.
The working range is 2–15 mL of Grow A (plus equal Grow B) per gallon of water. Use Athena's published feed schedules as a starting point, then calibrate by EC. Seedlings and early veg run at the low end; late veg can push higher depending on cultivar and environment. Monitor EC regularly and adjust — do not fix dose and ignore EC.
The 275-gallon IBC tote delivers the lowest cost per gallon, reduces packaging waste, and cuts reorder frequency for operations moving through significant veg-stage volume. The tote ships on a pallet via freight carrier — coordinate with HSC on logistics before ordering. If you are evaluating the program for the first time, start with a 1- or 5-gallon to validate it against your cultivars before committing to bulk.
