Athena Blended Bloom A (4-0-5) is the nitrogen- and potassium-side half of Athena's 2-part liquid flowering base — used in equal parts with Bloom B throughout the entire flowering phase to deliver complete, repeatable bloom nutrition across any media or irrigation method. Athena Blended Bloom A is Part A of the Athena Blended Line's two-part liquid flowering base nutrient. With an N-P-K of 4-0-5, it provides the calcium, nitrogen, and potassium backbone of the bloom feed, keeping phosphate and sulfate sources separated in concentrated form to prevent precipitation before dilution. Part A is always paired with Bloom B (0.7-6-5) in equal volumes — together they form a complete, single-stage flowering solution.

The 5-gallon format (SKU: LQ-BLA-5G) is the standard commercial entry point: enough volume to meaningfully reduce per-dose handling vs. 1-gallon jugs, without committing to drum storage. Bloom A is also available in 55-gallon and 275-gallon tote formats for operations running continuous fertigation at scale — ask about bulk sizing when you request a quote.
Sediment-free and compatible with all irrigation infrastructure — drip, flood-and-drain, recirculating DWC, aeroponics, and fine-head dripper manifolds. Athena notes that trace micro-particles can occasionally appear in some water conditions but will not affect elemental balance or system compatibility.
Chelated micronutrient delivery (EDTA and EDDHA iron forms) broadens the effective uptake window across a wider pH range and across water types — RO, soft well, municipal. This means the feed stays productive even when solution pH drifts between irrigation events, which matters in high-frequency fertigation programs.

Bloom A and Bloom B must be used together in equal volumes. Part A carries the calcium, nitrogen, and potassium side of the bloom formula; Part B carries phosphorus, additional potassium, and magnesium sulfate. Neither part delivers a complete nutrient profile on its own — running one without the other will create significant elemental gaps. Always dose equal mL of A and B per gallon.

Athena publishes specific Dosatron panel configuration procedures for the Blended Line. Do not combine Part A and Part B in concentrated, undiluted form — always add each part separately to water.
In most RO/coco programs, Bloom A and B alone will not fully satisfy calcium and magnesium demand. Athena recommends supplementing with their Blended CaMg product when running RO water or inert media like coco or rockwool. Add CaMg per Athena's published feed schedule and adjust based on runoff EC and any deficiency signals.
Both lines use compatible Athena nutrient chemistry. The Pro Line (dry water-soluble concentrates) is designed for large commercial operations mixing high-volume nutrient tanks — lowest cost per gallon at scale, but requires dry powder handling and batch mixing infrastructure. The Blended Line is a pre-dissolved liquid that's ready to inject or dilute directly — better suited for facilities prioritizing ease of handling, documentation simplicity, and reduced mixing labor, at a higher per-gallon cost than Pro Line dry.
