What the ECS-500 Is

The ECS-500 is TrolMaster's bulk RJ12 communication cable solution, packaged as a single 500-foot (152.4-meter) roll alongside 100 RJ12 crystal heads and 100 crystal head protectors. The cable is flat-profile and white, consistent with standard RJ12 telephony-style wiring used throughout the TrolMaster Hydro-X ecosystem.

Every TrolMaster sensor and control module communicates over a standard RJ12 connection. The pre-made cables included with individual modules (typically 4ft and 16ft runs) cover most bench-scale setups, but in a commercial facility those lengths rarely match actual rack spacing, room dimensions, or conduit paths. The ECS-500 exists specifically for those situations — giving integrators or facility electricians the raw material to cut and terminate cables to whatever length the floor plan requires.

Working temperature range of 32–122°F and a humidity ceiling of ≤90% RH means the cable is rated for the humid, high-heat conditions common in sealed grow rooms and greenhouse bays.
