IP56-rated, 35" modular enclosure built for full TrolMaster Hydro-X Pro & Aqua-X Pro system builds.
The TrolMaster SCC-2 is a 35" (88.9 cm) industrial-rated controller cabinet designed to house and protect a complete TrolMaster Hydro-X Pro or Aqua-X Pro control system — including all device stations, power supplies, modules, and RJ12 cabling — in a single organized, wall-mounted enclosure. Built to IP56 (NEMA 4X equivalent) protection against dust and water ingress.
The SCC-2 is a modular electrical enclosure and wire management system purpose-built for TrolMaster's Hydro-X Pro (HCS-2) and Aqua-X Pro (NFS-2) control platforms. At 35 inches long (88.9 cm), it is the large-format option in TrolMaster's SCC cabinet line — the SCC-1 covers the same controllers in a 25" form factor, while the SCC-3 is sized for the Hydro-X Plus.
A pre-cut opening in the door panel accepts the main TrolMaster controller unit directly, keeping the touchscreen and interface accessible while the rest of the system — power supplies, output modules, splitter boards, and all RJ12 cabling — stays organized and protected inside the cabinet body. Five onboard splitter boards provide a total of 43 RJ12 ports distributed across top and middle positions, giving large builds room to route every cable cleanly.
Any licensed cannabis or hemp facility running a TrolMaster Hydro-X Pro or Aqua-X Pro system at commercial scale should plan for a dedicated enclosure from day one. Loose modules and exposed RJ12 cables on a grow room wall are a maintenance liability — moisture infiltration, accidental disconnects during cultivation tasks, and cable tangles all create avoidable downtime.
The SCC-2 is the right choice when your build includes a meaningful number of output modules (lighting, HVAC, CO2, irrigation pumps and solenoids) that need organized termination points. Facilities running dual-system builds — pairing an HCS-2 environmental controller with an NFS-2 irrigation controller — can house both in a single SCC-2 cabinet, keeping the entire automation layer in one location.
The cabinet carries an IP56 rating, equivalent to NEMA 4X, providing protection against dust ingress and high-pressure water jets — relevant in any cultivation environment where washdowns are routine. To achieve the full IP56 rating, the included controller rubber gasket must be installed between the controller face and the cabinet door; TrolMaster supplies the gasket in the box.
Internal organization is handled by five splitter boards: Board #1 (10 ports, top), Board #2 (6 ports, top), Board #3 (17 ports, top), Board #4 (4×4 ports, middle splitter bars), and Board #5 (6 ports, bottom). Power outlet positions accommodate 8+1 sockets plus 6 additional bottom outlets for the OA6-series output stations. The cabinet ships with 4 long RJ12 cables, 26 short RJ12 cables, 8 power cables for OA6-24/OA6-110 output stations, 18 screws for the OA6 stations, and a full installation manual.
Operating temperature range is 32°F–104°F (0°C–40°C), covering standard controlled grow room environments. Input voltage is 120V at a maximum draw of 15A.
A TrolMaster Hydro-X Pro can support up to 50 sensors and 50 separate control modules on a single controller. At that scale, unmanaged cabling becomes a real operational problem. The SCC-2 is the infrastructure layer that makes a fully expanded system auditable — every cable has a labeled home, every module is mounted and accessible, and a technician can fault-trace the system without digging through a rat's nest.
For facilities with multiple rooms, each room typically gets its own HCS-2 and its own SCC-2 cabinet, maintaining the single-room architecture TrolMaster recommends for system reliability. If your team is spec'ing a new build or retrofitting an existing room's control system, the SCC-2 is the enclosure that lets a TrolMaster installation look and function like a professional control panel — not consumer hardware bolted to drywall. Both the SCC-1 and SCC-2 are compatible with the Hydro-X Pro (HCS-2) and Aqua-X Pro (NFS-2). The only difference is physical size: the SCC-1 is 25" tall and the SCC-2 is 35" tall. The larger SCC-2 provides more interior room for additional modules, splitter boards, and cable runs — making it the better choice for heavily expanded builds with many output stations.
No. The SCC-2 is designed for the Hydro-X Pro (HCS-2) and Aqua-X Pro (NFS-2). The Hydro-X Plus (HCS-3) uses the SCC-3 cabinet, which has a differently positioned pre-cut opening to match that controller's form factor.
Only when the included controller rubber gasket is correctly seated between the controller face and the cabinet door. Without the gasket properly installed, the enclosure will not meet IP56 / NEMA 4X standards. The gasket is included in the box and the installation manual covers fitment.
Yes. The SCC-2 has sufficient internal capacity to house both a Hydro-X Pro environmental controller and an Aqua-X Pro irrigation controller along with their associated output modules and cabling, which is a common configuration in facilities that automate both climate and irrigation from a single control station.
Yes. The cabinet ships with 4 long RJ12 cables, 26 short RJ12 cables, 8 power cables for OA6-24/OA6-110 output stations, 18 OA6 mounting screws, and a full installation manual. Controllers and output modules are sold separately.
