240V CO2 control relay for TrolMaster Hydro-X — plug-and-play, 10A, includes full cable set.
The TrolMaster DSC-2 is the 240V CO2 Device Station for the Hydro-X environmental control platform, allowing licensed cultivation operators to automate supplemental CO2 enrichment and CO2 exhaust control through a single addressable relay module. Handles any CO2 device rated up to 10A at 100–240 VAC and ships with a complete RJ12 cable set for immediate integration.
The TrolMaster DSC-2 is a dedicated CO2 control relay module that plugs into the TrolMaster Hydro-X RJ12 bus and gives the controller a switched 240V outlet for CO2 equipment. When the Hydro-X (or compatible CO2 sensor) detects that PPM has dropped below the programmed setpoint, the controller signals the DSC-2 to close the relay and power the attached device — a CO2 generator, tank solenoid valve, or exhaust fan used for CO2 purge. The DSC-2 handles the load side: it can switch any CO2 device rated 10 amps or less at 240 VAC. When PPM reaches target, the controller signals off and the relay opens.
This is the 240V counterpart to the DSC-1 (which is rated for 120V loads). If your CO2 burner or solenoid valve runs on a 240V circuit — as is common with larger natural-gas or propane CO2 generators in commercial build-outs — the DSC-2 is the correct module. Both modules share the same physical footprint and integrate identically into the Hydro-X bus.
The DSC-2 is the right buy for any licensed cannabis or hemp cultivation facility already running TrolMaster Hydro-X, Hydro-X Pro, or Hydro-X Plus as the facility's environmental controller and needing automated CO2 supplementation on a 240V circuit. It is equally applicable for operators who want to automate a CO2 exhaust fan that triggers when CO2 reaches a fault threshold — a safety-relevant function in sealed, high-enrichment rooms.
Facilities scaling canopy without adding a second controller can run up to two DSC units per Hydro-X master controller on the CO2 device station bus. For operations that need a single exhaust fan to respond to both the Hydro-X climate logic and a separate CO2 safety alarm, TrolMaster's DCC-2 Dual System Control Adapter pairs with the DSC-2 to allow both controllers to share one outlet — no additional wiring required.
The DSC-2 uses a single-button addressing system: press the button on first installation to link the module to the Hydro-X controller on the RJ12 bus. No configuration software or laptop required. The LED indicator provides real-time operational status at a glance: a fast blinking green means the module has not yet been addressed or has lost communication with the controller; slow blinking green means the module is linked and the relay is currently off; solid green means the relay is actively on and the CO2 device is running; blinking red signals an overload condition and prompts the operator to unplug and inspect the connected load.
The included cable set — one 16-foot RJ12 cable, one 4-foot RJ12 cable, and one RJ12 T-splitter — gives installation flexibility regardless of where the CO2 generator or valve sits relative to the controller. Modules daisy-chain across the RJ12 bus, so adding the DSC-2 to an existing Hydro-X network does not require new home-run cabling back to the controller.
In a commercial sealed room, the DSC-2 sits inline between the 240V wall circuit and the CO2 generator. The Hydro-X controller reads live PPM from the connected CO2 sensor and fires the DSC-2 relay automatically — no manual intervention, no timers, no separate CO2 controller box. This keeps CO2 management consolidated in the same platform already managing temperature, humidity, lighting schedules, and ventilation, reducing the number of independent control systems operators have to monitor and log.
For operators expanding from a single zone to multiple rooms, the Hydro-X Pro (HCS-2) supports up to 50 separate control modules on a single controller, meaning the DSC-2 drops into larger multi-zone builds without the controller becoming the bottleneck. All device stations — DSC-2, DST-2, DSH-2, DSP-2, and others — are cross-compatible across the Hydro-X, Hydro-X Pro, and Hydro-X Plus platforms, so hardware purchased today carries forward as your facility scales.

The DSC-1 is rated for 120V CO2 loads (10A max at 120 VAC). The DSC-2 is the 240V version, rated for 10A at 100–240 VAC. Both modules integrate identically into the Hydro-X RJ12 bus and share the same footprint and addressing procedure. Choose DSC-2 when your CO2 generator or solenoid valve operates on a 240V circuit.
The base Hydro-X (HCS-1) supports up to two CO2 device station modules total. The Hydro-X Pro (HCS-2) and Hydro-X Plus (HCS-3) support a significantly larger number of control modules across all station types — up to 50 on the Pro — giving commercial facilities room to scale.
Both. The DSC-2 can control supplemental CO2 injection devices (generators, solenoid valves on tank systems) as well as CO2 exhaust controls — for example, an exhaust fan that vents the room when CO2 exceeds a safety threshold. The controller determines the behavior based on how you address and program the module.
Yes. The DSC-2 is a relay/output module — it has no onboard sensing. CO2 PPM feedback comes from a separately connected TrolMaster CO2 sensor (such as the MBS-S8) wired to the Hydro-X controller. The controller processes sensor data and triggers the DSC-2 relay based on your programmed setpoints.
Not directly on its own, but TrolMaster's DCC-2 Dual System Control Adapter is designed for exactly this use case. The DCC-2 pairs with a DSC-2 (or other plug-in module) and bridges the RJ12 outputs of two controllers — allowing one device, such as an exhaust fan, to respond to both a Hydro-X climate setpoint and a Carbon-X CO2 safety alarm.
