What the DSC-2 Does

The TrolMaster DSC-2 is a dedicated CO2 control relay module that plugs into the TrolMaster Hydro-X RJ12 bus and gives the controller a switched 240V outlet for CO2 equipment. When the Hydro-X (or compatible CO2 sensor) detects that PPM has dropped below the programmed setpoint, the controller signals the DSC-2 to close the relay and power the attached device — a CO2 generator, tank solenoid valve, or exhaust fan used for CO2 purge. The DSC-2 handles the load side: it can switch any CO2 device rated 10 amps or less at 240 VAC. When PPM reaches target, the controller signals off and the relay opens.

This is the 240V counterpart to the DSC-1 (which is rated for 120V loads). If your CO2 burner or solenoid valve runs on a 240V circuit — as is common with larger natural-gas or propane CO2 generators in commercial build-outs — the DSC-2 is the correct module. Both modules share the same physical footprint and integrate identically into the Hydro-X bus.

The LED indicator provides real-time operational status at a glance: a fast blinking green means the module has not yet been addressed or has lost communication with the controller; slow blinking green means the module is linked and the relay is currently off; solid green means the relay is actively on and the CO2 device is running; blinking red signals an overload condition and prompts the operator to unplug and inspect the connected load.

The included cable set — one 16-foot RJ12 cable, one 4-foot RJ12 cable, and one RJ12 T-splitter — gives installation flexibility regardless of where the CO2 generator or valve sits relative to the controller. Modules daisy-chain across the RJ12 bus, so adding the DSC-2 to an existing Hydro-X network does not require new home-run cabling back to the controller.
