- Pre-moisten correctly. Hydrate plugs with clean, pH’d water (5.5–6.0) until moist, not dripping. Waterlogged plugs are the number-one cause of damping-off and stalled roots.
- Take clean cuttings. Use sanitized blades and take from healthy, tested mothers. A clean cutting in clean media is the foundation of a clean crop.
- Hold humidity high, light low. Keep clones under a dome at 70–80% RH and gentle light (100–200 µmol/m²/s) until roots show, then gradually harden off.
